The Game of Flow cont’d sorrow, right? What will I tell people is the ‘reason’ for the breakup? How will I explain it to others? We should have tried something, anything, to make it work, right? While I am moving through the grief cycle and not denying myself the emotional processing, I feel at peace with the outcome. I realized that, by being so intently present with him and the scenario as it was unfolding, that I was able to follow my leading around which direction to take. It may not have made sense, to me or others, yet my body barometer was directing me towards the decision that would serve me best. By being present and listening to my body barometer,
I’m playing in the universe’s game of Flow. The people that have received my story will use and/or pass on the parts that serve them or others. My former boyfriend and I will use and/or pass on the parts that serve us or others. The people that received his story will use and/or pass on the parts that serve them or others. Flow. We are all connected and we don’t always consciously know what our role is in each other’s lives. All we can do is our best in each and every moment and accept (as Don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements, says) that we cannot impact another person’s dream state or reality. When I embrace that knowing and operate within my own leadings I best understand that some things aren’t to be and I can’t make ‘em ‘be’. When I release the muscle memory reaction to

change their mind or influence their thinking, I release suffering. By doing my best in each moment I honor me and those around me and play the game of Flow towards everyone’s highest good.
