ABOUT
Joana Diamandi is an architect, currently Lecturer of Architecture and Design at POLIS University, Tirana. Graduated in 2011 at Polis University - International School of Architecture and Urban Development Policies as an Architect and Urban Designer. During her studies in architecture, she showed a particular interest in the paradigm of Information Architecture, and she dedicated her thesis study into Aural Architecture, «Noise as a Generative Material for Design». She has been involved in architecture and interior architecture projects in Albania and interested in creating glass artworks. Besides being a full-time lecturer in the Department of Design, she has also conducted her PhD studies in the joint program of doctorate between POLIS University, Tirana and the University of Ferrara, Italy, focusing on sacred architecture and more specific ‘’Sacred Architecture of Bektashi Formation, A process of re-valuation on Time & Place’’. An element which she considers vital for architecture and design approaches is the creation of uniquely human experiences with an active spatial design application.

Movements and Space an intrigue and abstract field of investigation that challenges every one to draw a visual definition to each of them. Even the attempt could be a great achievement that shows a very personal approach of materializing time, motion, moments, seconds, and old rooted by instinct the latent need of expressing feelings not through the move but re appropriating the space that the bodies are creating. Dance is not just the move but the vacant space full of questions and answers that are calling you to seek.
