Monument to Music

T

he nine dancing figures that make up Musica are a tribute to the importance of music to the Nashville community. The statue, constructed by Nashville-based artist Alan LeQuire, is located at the intersection of Division Street and 16th Avenue South, a significant spot in the heart of Music Row. LeQuire is also well known for the 42-foot Athena Parthenos, in Nashville’s Parthenon, which is the tallest indoor sculpture in the Western world, as well as many other works of art.
