The Valley of Sunshine Great Weather, Drag Shows and a New Website!

his month most of the country experienced epic winter storms with record snow, cold, and wind. Meanwhile, Phoenix tied a record the same day at 83°! For all of you reading this from inside your winter bunker beyond, there’s never been a better time to pack your bags and book a one way trip to the Valley of the Sun. You’ll never have to shovel sunshine and you’ll never look back!

Last month we were lucky enough to have an exclusive interview with Joey Jay, a contestant on this season’s RuPaul Drag Race. Unfortunately, she was dismissed by Mama Ru, but she still rocks this town. Drag performances are returning in our local clubs’ stages, and coming in March, the first ever “Drag Drive-In” in Scottsdale. Get you tickets now if you haven’t already. Check out the ad on page 3. ION Arizona is celebrating our 20th year and we will never rest. We premiered our new APP in 2019, we redesigned the entire magazine in 2020 and this month we launched our new website. Check it out at IONAZ. com and let me know what you think. Thank you Zach Cross at Custom Résumés for his hard work and brilliant design! This month we turn up the heat with one of our sexiest issues ever! “Shades of Gray,” our first black and white photofeature, plus an interview with super sexy online superstar Reno Gold. Next month our popular “Pets and the City” feature returns. There’s still time to send us your photo of you and your pets to so you can be included! Enjoy this great state, this great issue, our community and our great new website. Get out safely, have some fun and discover Arizona!
