This bend and snap beauty queen has entertained the masses with her funny stories, her infectious laugh, her kindness and of course her dirty mind. She is also known as Jan-the-Man, J-Girl, Jiggers Jan, and most importantly Mom.

This book has been designed with love for my mom. There are no words or actions that can come close to describing how much I love her or how proud I am of her. She has been my greatest influence to my accomplishments and my goals in life. Without her continual support and love I would not be who I am today. Thank you mom! You are the sweetest, most charming person that I know and the best mom in the world. You are my best friend–my confidant who has kept me laughing when times were tough and giving me strength when I needed it. You inspire all who are around you with your infectious laugh and compassionate unconditional love.

... Defines Personality With a passion to rival Gone with the Wind, Jan’s temptation surpasses even the most dashing of beaus-–the chiseled Fabio. That’s right, Chocolate! While tasty and delicious, chocolate also has a greater meaning for Jan. Just as major defining moments in Jan’s life has giving her courage and depth, it also symbolizes her personality. Sweet and rich with a variety of flavors. And always has the ability to surprise you with a few nuts.

Love defines our Life
A family is a wild thing Growing with love, enduring hardships and sharing triumphs is the meaning of a family. Jan grew up on Chadwick Street in the heart of Sugar House, Utah. Her mother, Frieda and father, John and their 8 children lived and thrived on that street. It was here that Jan became the woman she was always meant to be: compassionate, loving, giving, sweet, strong, determined, someone that has inspired great friends and a daughter who loves her more than anything.
The gift of family is a joyous reminder of where we have been and who we are because of them.
What a mother passes on Love and joy is the greatest gift between a mother and child. At the age of 29, Jan gives birth to a raisin–later named Jody. While a mother passes on such things as good looking genes (obviously) and varicose veins (unfortunately) the best gift she gives is the unconditional love that is passed down from mother to child.
the young and the restless Two babes by the names of Jan and Jody settle in and get to know one another. While Jan got over the (incident) Jody continues as a raisen. Months later, raisin disappears and becomes ‘bold and beautiful’.
Growing Pains are meant to be remembered and treasured.
the funny girls Jan-the-Man and JoDiggity find a lot of things in common. Obviously we like to kick people, laugh at our own jokes, make strange and unusual noises and enjoy a good bottle of wine.
Jan’s hot-doggin’, sauciness hits an all out extreme when Saturday rolls around. Gettin’ down and dirty, J-Girl appreciates the good things in life–road trips, mixing it up with family and friends, special outings, movies, QVC, being silly, reading and most importantly sporting a true garment of luxury: glorious sweats!

Just a couple of ladies on vacation Ladies of Luxury, Jan and Jody spare no expense as they travel the wondrous adventures of Cal-if-orn-ia. The West side promised beautiful weather, good lookin’ men-folk, and delightful rides found in the land of Disney and Knots Berry Farm.
Good Times Traveling, Shopping, flying a turkey...all in a hard days work. Although its a little more difficult for all of us to find ourselves in the same state, our vacations and holidays have never been more fun or memorable.
Jody’s Graduation There have been a lot of special moments in my life. Most of them have been when my mom and dad are by my side. They have always made it special for me and I know that I couldn’t have accomplished so much without them. Mom has always given me support and strength to continue on, to work hard, to love lots and to never let go of what makes me truly happy.
Times are a changin’ While time can not stand still, these happy moments will always be fastened to our memories. We had so much fun barbecuing, going out to Davies Chuck Wagon, posing for pictures at Jody’s Graduation Ceremony.
Havasu Wedding
In Love and War Where hugs are rare, smiles are hard won and love is surprising, Jody and Kyle were lucky to find each other in the desert lands of Iraq. Two years after Jody and Kyle found each other, they were married in Lake Havasu underneath a shady palm tree, surrounded by their family and friends.

Adventures of Great Pals What’s life without your favorite pal? Jan and Deb know this more than anyone. For decades they have done a great many things together and have formed more than a handful of outrageous memories. From bar perusing, kissy faced photographs, mind-melting concerts, tasty drinks with tasty men, traveling and plain old putting up with–all promised great adventures of Jan and Deb.
Kitty Cats! Jan goes coo coo for cats. Jan’s homing beacon for all things cute, cuddly, and in need of babying has taken up residence in the love and affection of cats. Jan dotes on her furry baby, Meecha who is as finicky and spazzy as Jan is to dating. Quite a pair! The special moments in Jan’s life–a cherished laugh between sisters, a special smile between friends or Meecha’s earnest purr define Jan’s happiest moments.
