Krystle Beauchamp Favorite Placement: Mooretown Elementary/ Meeting with a Mission Favorite League Memory: Reading to the students at Mooretown as part of the MWAM placement. The students were so engaged and excited. In fact, I have a framed copy of the Parishscope in my office when we were featured on the cover reading because it’s such a happy memory!

Tracy Jones Favorite Placement: Super Safety Saturday Favorite League Memory: Making lifetime friendships.

Tiffany Paine Ashley Busada Favorite Placement: Nominating Committee/ Advisor Favorite League Memory: My favorite memory with JL is Super Safety Saturday. During the planning months, I was able to spend quality time getting to know the women on the committee and formed friendships I still have today.

Ellen Erwin Favorite Placement: Nominating Chair Favorite League Memory: I loved being on the board, and our dinner meetings. It was nice to get to know the League and each other better!

Leah Feldt Favorite Placement: Treasurer Favorite League Memory: Working Revel Pepsi shifts. I enjoyed the atmosphere and always loved working the shift with other League members who I didn’t know well. Always fun getting to know them better!

Laramie Guillot Favorite Placement: Bingo Favorite League Memory: Working Revel Pepsi shifts! I loved getting to meet new members and catching up with friends during our shift!

Lecie Israel Favorite Placement: Super Safety Saturday Favorite League Memory: When I reflect on my time with the Junior League, my favorite memories involve my personal growth and that of my friends. Working together on any number of projects, taking on leadership roles, or jumping into action in a pinch, it gave me new insight into women I’ve known for years. It showed me just how tough they really are and what amazing things they are capable of. If I’m lucky, they feel the same way about me! Those will always be my most cherished memories.

Favorite Placement: Between the Lines— Recording incarcerated parents reading books to their children Favorite League Memory: Playing Bingo with the children at LSU/Oschners Hospital and seeing their smiles when they won a game!

Saige Solomon Favorite Placement: It is honestly hard to say. Serving as President this year has been both a joy and an honor and I am sad to see the year come to a close. I also loved my time as Executive Vice-President because I felt like I really got to see all the moving parts of the League more closely. Favorite League Memory: Where to begin?!? There are SO MANY wonderful memories from the last 11 years. Some of my favorites probably center around traveling to AJLI conferences with fellow members—most recently the trip that Sarah Giglio, Margaret McDonald, and I took to Scottsdale in February 2020 before the world shut down due to the pandemic. I’ve told them that I plan to go to Annual Conference with them next year as a Sustainer since I didn’t get to go to Annual Conference as President! More than anything, I am grateful for all of the friendships I have formed through the JLSB.

Marie Vanderlick Favorite Placement: Designer Bag Bingo Favorite League Memory: I am so thankful for the nominating committee that decided Shannon Elder, Ginny Lamb, and I would make a great fit for the League’s inaugural DBB. Navigating a new fundraiser presented its challenges, but I absolutely love the friendships that developed in the process. The next year, Ginny took DBB to the next level and I remember walking into the venue (relaxed because I wasn’t on the committee) and feeling so proud for Ginny, her committee, and all of us as a League. Similarly, I was so proud of what Michelle Hansen accomplished with the BBB raffle this year. So my favorite memory would be pride for our League! j l sb .o rg | S u m m e r 2 0 21 PARI S H S C OPE
