For the first time in our 100-year history, the League hosted an interactive exhibit of our history and impact on Dallas at the Hall of State in Fair Park during the State Fair of Texas’ 24-day run. The interactive exhibit showcased JLD’s 100 years of “Legacy of Leadership, Devotion to Dallas” and the women who made so much happen, including our Grants for Innovative Teaching and Kids in the Kitchen Signature Projects, Linz award recipients and much more. Through historical documents, memorabilia and photos, the exhibit shared information from the earliest days of the League to the present. The League would like to thank Presenting Sponsor The Sewell Family. We also want to thank H-E-B/ Central Market for their generous support of the exhibit and the assortment of healthy snacks for all of the exhibit visitors.

Community Grant Presentation

The Junior League of Dallas, along with presentation sponsor Bank of Texas, awarded grants to 34 nonprofit agencies within its 2022 – 2023 Community Program on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022. After conducting last year’s presentation on Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was a treat to gather with our agency partners in person. The presentation moved to a new location in NorthPark Center this year: La Pizza & La Pasta inside Eataly. Guests enjoyed breakfast and coffee generously provided by Eataly throughout the morning. Bank of Texas returned as the sponsor for this year’s Community Grant Presentation, and we were pleased to have Executive Vice President Bob White join us for the festivities.
