At first, He defines brand as an organization/product/services that have their own unique personality. Later, he continues on shares topics on brand strategy, brand identity as well brand communication. He shares on 4 main criteria of business branding which can lead to changes in brand equity: Loyalty, Awareness, Perceptive quality and Associations. We have a number of 12 students who turned up for the talk and they really learnt and enjoyed the business sharing session. At the end of the session, students are being asked of what is the 1 lesson that they can bring home through this session. And here are some of the feedbacks from the students who attended the talk.

Student’s Testimony

Ian Fan-Through this talk, I have gained much insight and experience from someone involved in the marketplace. I learned more about how the marketing theories are applied in reality and business. Thus, I am now able to see marketing and branding in a whole new dimension. Skills and knowledge are not sufficient, but also willpower and attitude.

Roshan Panditji- I found that the speaker was very inspirational as well as his words being educational. Being an accounting student my knowledge about branding is very vague, and this talk was very eye opening as it broadened my overall knowledge about branding and that there are aspects of branding other than price, product, place and promotion. His ideology about how working life should be was very inspirational as he showed that a working environment should be fun and pleasant and that we must enjoy what we do as well as give a hundred percent in everything we do. To conclude this talk was very beneficial as it gave an overall picture of what working life is all about and brought us to realize that we must follow our dreams and enjoy whatever we do.

Amanda Lim-"Branding in Business" talk today was great. I have learnt a lot through this talk. This talk has made my view broader towards business especially in the area of marketing and branding. Besides, I have learnt on the terms “Branding” and “Principles”. Most importantly, I learnt that we have to work with attitude, passion and love towards our job in the near future. Opportunities are available for us in the real world but it is up to us to grab it and also depends on one’s willingness to work and learn. This talk gives confident to me that whenever there is a will, there is a way. Moreover, the speaker’s also mention that he believes that life is short. Therefore, I must start to figure out my way out to survive in reality starting from now on based on the skills being taught by the speaker. For example, I must know what my destination is, starting point, and road map and mile stones in future.
