RSV Ocean Series Underfloor Terminals Introduction RSV Ocean series underfloor air terminals are designed for easy access ease of design adaptability. Units can provide control for perimeter or interior zones. Developed by Royal Service Air-conditioning Corp, specially engineered for use in a raised access floor air distribution systems to meet the requirements of the most demanding underfloor air terminal applications where premiumquality design and performance characteristics are desired. Three standard underfloor heating and cooling air terminal are available, UFDC cooling or heating only VAV linear floor diffusers, UFDHC cooling VAV with heating CAV linear floor diffusers, UFFP underfloor fan powered terminals.

RSV UFD Series VAV Linear Underfloor Diffusers RSV UFD series VAV linear underfloor diffusers are designed for application in raised access floor air distribution systems. High quality, heavy duty, extruded aluminum linear grilles are featured providing an architecturally appealing face. RSV UFD series provides variable air volume cooling or heating control for ducted or non-ducted applications. A 90 0 rotation low leakage damper and integral modulating actuator provide precise airflow control.

R features The RSV UFDC type VAV linear underfloor diffusers are constructed with the following standard features, casing, primary air inlet & damper, supply grille, actuator & thermostat. In additions, there are hot air inlet & back draft damper for RSV UFDHC type VAV linear underfloor diffusers. Simple installation, unit fits into place from the top of the floor panel. 11 inch / 280 mm overall height allows installation in 11 inch / 280 mm raised access floors.

Casing RSV UFD series VAV linear underfloor diffusers are made to be walked on, the casing is to be constructed of gauge 18(1.2mm) high quality steel, acid cleaned and & paint process insures smooth surface. The casing is sturdy construction.

Supply Grille Architecturally appealing face design the supply grilles are level with the floor board, high quality, heavy duty, and extruded aluminum linear grilles. For Safety and prevention of falling objects into the unit under supply griller is a metal mesh and the grille is sized to avoid standard pens from falling into the unit. Four available heavy duty supply grille styles to choose from the following drawings. The standard styles is V1 structure if there is omitted or no illustration.

Actuator & Thermostat RSV UFD series VAV diffusers come standard without controls. Optional control include compact 24VAC direct drive proportional actuator and thermostat. Maintain minimum and maximum airflow limits by limiting the range of the control signal. Optional DDC controllers are available, with optional network communications such as Lonwork, Bacnet and other independent networks, or networked to the Building Automation Systems.

Control Enclosure Control enclosure is constructed of gauge 21 (0.8mm) galvanized steel, and available for all brand actuator or DDC controller installation.

RSV UFD Series VAV Linear Underfloor Diffusers Operating Modes RSV UFDC: Cooling: The actuator modulates the primary air damper of the unit for cooling. Heating: The actuator modulates the primary air damper of the unit for cooling, heating mode closes the cooling primary damper and allows heated air to flow into the heating air duct connection from a under floor heating terminal. The heating terminal is connected to the UFDC with flex duct. The under floor heating terminal only operates in the heating mode. RSV UFDHC: The thermostat modulates the primary air damper from 0-100% for cooling. For UFDHC diffuser in heating mode the thermostat closes contacts and/or modulates a valve and a independent heating from either baseboard heating or from a underfloor hot water coil or electric reheat air terminal. RSV UFDC/UFDHC: RSV UFD series standard units' airflow are variable airflow under cooling mode, and RSV UFDHC units' airflow are constant airflow under heating mode.

RSV UFFP Series Underfloor Fan Powered Terminal Units RSV UFFP series underfloor fan powered terminal units are designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding underfloor applications. Compact, low profile unit casing, designed to accommodate the floor pedestal layout. Standard unit maintenance is accessed from above the floor.

Features The RSV UFFP series underfloor fan power terminals are constructed with the following standard features, casing, primary air damper, velocity sensor, filter, supply grille, return grille, fan & motor, middle decorative panel (optional), electric heater (optional) , controller & thermostat(optional). RSV-UFFP standard maintenance is accessed from above the floor. Casing RSV UFFP series units are made to be walked on, the casing is to be constructed of gauge 18(1.2mm) high quality steel, acid cleaned and & paint process insures smooth surface. Control enclosure is accessed under the floor level. Three-pin plug base provides supply wire connection quickly. The control parts are available replaced to movement the enclosure cover.

Dampers The primary air damper is made of steel sheet, acid cleaned & for its painting process. The connecting shaft is construction of carbon steel. The end of shaft has position indicator and non-lubrication bearings are plastics. When the damper is closed or open, the primary or secondary air is available to shut off fully. Filter The filter is setup upper fan section, all-aluminum construction, light in weight, washable and reusable. Fan and Motor Fans are forwardly curved, DWDI centrifugal type constructed of galvanized steel for corrosion resistance. All fans are to be tested statically and dynamically balanced after manufacture, thus achieve lower noise level and vibration. Fans are airflow balanced with motor. Motors are directly driven by SPC single phase motor which is AC capacity motor, permanent lubrication bearings, and three speeds is available. Supply power is 220V/1ph/50Hz, 208-230V/1ph/60Hz or 120V/1ph/60Hz. Supply/Return Grille and Decorative Panel Architecturally appealing face design the supply and return grilles are level with the floor board, high quality, heavy duty, and extruded aluminum linear grilles. For Safety and prevention of falling objects into the unit under supply or return griller is a metal mesh and the grille is sized to avoid standard pens from falling into the unit. The decorative middle panel is optional in wood finish. Evenly set at the height with floor board or carpet surface. The room sensor location is set up below return grille. Human Access is from a swing door in the grille to check and set parameters. The following drawings are supply and return grille style, the standard style is V1 structure if there is omitted or no illustration.

Velocity Sensor(Optional) The standard unit is no velocity sensor at pressure dependent control mode. For pressure independent unit, the velocity sensor is set on primary air stream, made of aluminum alloy developed with good aerodynamics. The linear sensor with multi-points amplifies velocity pressure signals for airflow measuring. It's accurate design to ensure minimum pressure drop and sound levels. Electric Heater (Optional) The heater elements are PTC type located down stream and in series with the fan. Safety feature with 194 0F (90℃) automatic reset thermal cutout. Terminal Controller & Thermostat Standard unit options are analogue stand alone controller and thermostat. DDC controller, wireless controller, and handheld remote controller are optional.

RSV UFFP Series Underfloor Fan Powered Terminal Operating Modes When using analogue control mode, the controller modulates the primary air damper position according to difference of actual temperature and set-point temperature to calculate primary damper open angle. The fan speed can be operated manually or automatically. When room temperature is up to set-point, the primary damper is holding on minimum position. In heating mode the room temperature is 3.6 0F/ 2℃ below set-point, and the damper position is at minimum position, electric heater turns on until set-point temperature is reached. When using DDC control mode, optional variable air is controlled with primary airflow according to difference of actual temperature and set-point temperature, modulates the primary air damper position up to calculated airflow by measuring primary airflow by velocity sensor. Room temperature control sequence is depend on which kind of DDC controller used. RSV-UFFP terminal's communication agreement are available to select Lonworks or Bacnet by using DDC controller. Network control Intergradations system are available, lonworks, and Bacnet, others are dependent on the controller . Principle Drawing

RSV-UFFP Underfloor Fan Powered Terminal Integration Control System This integration control system is developed for Royal underfloor fan powered terminal application, which is composed of master controller, data integration, local controller, wiring and control power, it is simple to adjust and set parameter. This system is plug and play application Master Controller Master controller control remotely all or single UFFP terminal units, control parameters include mode exchanger, temperature setting and display, operation status, supply plenum temperature, uint ambient temperature, unit on / off & clock setting. There is one connection interface for BAS control. Data Integration The parameter and command are transferred through data integration, optional outside temperature sensor is available to display supply plenum temperature. Local Controller Each unit has a local controller to control unit on site including mode exchanger, fan speed and temperature setting, unit on / off clock setting and primary damper position display. Local controller receivers data from master controller and sends data to master controller through data integration. Network Drawing
