Glossary: 1. Window sash is the framed part of the window which holds the sheets of glass in place. 2. Door furniture is the handles, locks and other fixtures on the door. 3. Stress is the pressure or tension exerted on a material object. 4. Moment of inertia is the mass property of a rigid body that defines the torque needed for a desired angular acceleration about an axis of rotation. 5. Shear force are unaligned forces pushing on part of a body in one direction, and another part of body in the opposite direction. 6. Door leaf can be defined as the door itself and the path it travels in. 7. Handles or latches are types of door or window fastener. 8. Stop is the axis which the door leaf is rotating around.
