Capaha Field Capaha Field is home to the Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks. Located just two blocks west of the Southeast campus, Capaha Field is owned by the City of Cape Girardeau. In addition to the ball field, Capaha Park features a swimming pool, lake and picnic areas. Many Southeast fans enjoy watching games from the hillsides along the first base side or beyond the left field wall. Capaha Field has a natural grass surface and is considered to be one of the best playing fields in the Ohio Valley Conference. Recent renovations include a state-of-the-art press box which was completed prior to the start of the 2006 season. The press box, which is equipped with wireless broadband internet access, television, a kitchen/lounge area and restroom, gives media members a great view behind home plate. Capaha Field also serves as home to the Plaza Tire Capahas, the oldest amateur baseball team in America.

“Tiger” Joe Uhls Locker Room Located inside Houck Field House on the Southeast Missouri State campus is the “Tiger” Joe Uhls Baseball Locker Room. The newly renovated locker room provides Redhawks baseball players with the modern amenities commonly found in professional locker rooms. Most recently, hardwood floors were added in 2005. The locker room features 35 professional-style lockers for players and coaches, restrooms, a shower area and ample storage space for equipment and uniforms. A state-of-the-art entertainment system also provides players the opportunity to view scouting and coaching video as well as watch television for leisure. In addition, a study area with broadband internet capabilities is available for Redhawks student-athletes. Surrounding the locker room is a mural honoring the all-time greatest players and moments in Southeast Missouri State baseball history.
