The old locomotive engine pulling its passenger cars over the bridge at Peter Skene Ogden State Viewpoint is a reminder of our grand history and journey as a nation. It highlights both the progress we have made, and the work yet to be done. But more than anything, it stands as testament to endurance that no matter how difficult or challenging the road ahead may be, we will always have the strength and courage to see us through.
CASCADES IN THE FALL
The Cascade Mountains’ snow-covered peaks cut a majestic figure against the azure sky, standing tall and proud in its supreme beauty. RIVER RUN
The Deschutes River! As it flows through the forest trees on either side, it’s like a ribbon of silver winding its way through a verdant paradise. And what a sky! The blue is so pure and true that it almost hurts your eyes to look at it. But then there are those clouds, white and fluffy like cotton candy, floating lazily above the river as if they have not a care in the world. It’s as if they’re saying to us, “Hey there, don’t worry about a thing. Just sit back and enjoy this breathtaking display of nature.” And we do just that, lost in the tranquility of this stunning scene before us.
ENCHANTED WOODS
This photograph of a densely populated forest is like stepping into an ancient, enchanted realm. EAGLE OVER CANYON
The majestic eagle, soaring high above the rippling cascade of a small waterfall, is a reminder that nature’s raw power and beauty are ever-present. The eagle’s wings stretch wide as it cruises across the canyon below, evoking a sense of freedom and grace that can only be found in nature. The waterfall itself has a serenity to it, its gentle bubbling music lulling us into an appreciation for the world around us. Its mesmerizing force reminds us that life is both precious and fleeting.While taking photographs of the landscapes and waiting patiently for the sun to set, this eagle was seen flying around. I was able to capture him just above the rim of the canyon where a small waterfall cascaded down 300 feet to the canyon floor.
RAINIER AT MIDNIGHT
This photograph of snow-covered Mount Rainier in Washington is truly a sight to be seen. Looking out at it from almost 20,000 feet up in the air, we can appreciate its enormity and beauty. The full moon provides an ethereal atmosphere to the scene, with the silvery light reflecting off of the glistening snow-covered slopes and illuminating the dark sky above. A majestic experience that could only be described as divine.

MAUI PRIVATE BEACH
The young lady stood in the pristine aquamarine waters of a private beach in Maui, her beauty acting like a beacon to any passerby. The sun shone upon her form like a spotlight, illuminating the supple curves and various hues of blue that glimmered on her skin. She was completely unencumbered by life’s troubles as if she had been transported to this paradise with no other soul around her. It was as if she belonged only to this moment and the secrets it held deep beneath its inviting surface.

On a beach in Maui, two young women embraced life with a sense of abandonment.
