On 25th November 2017, Jamaican High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago, H.E. David Prendergast, participated alongside other members of the Diplomatic community in the Green Market Santa Cruz Global Treats Potluck. Patrons delighted in Jamaican Jerk Chicken alongside cuisine from The Bahamas, Canada, Costa Rica and France. The Global Treats Potluck was in celebration of the Santa Cruz Green Market's 5th Anniversary. With a strong private sector/community-based entrepreneurship, the Green Market aims to generate income and revenue for its beneficiary farmers while promoting healthier and more sustainable local consumption. It has been hailed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as an example of a promising sustainable initiative for the future of farming. ď‚–
