Lifetime Achievement Award
Victorian academic pharmacist Associate Professor Louis Roller, who has been one of the country’s leading drivers in developing Quality Use of Medicines standards as well as in recognising the value of partnerships between pharmacists, GPs and patients, is the recipient of the 2014 Life Achievement Award

He was presented with his award at PAC14 in Canberra last weekend. Associate Professor Roller was recognised as one of the profession’s most effective and passionate advocates who has influenced the profession both academically and clinically through the development of a patient-focussed pharmacy course. Associate Professor Roller said he championed evidenced-based practice and professionalism in pharmacy.
Pier Festival 2015
Held at Port Melbourne Pier’s precinct on Sunday 25 January, the festival celebrates and reflects on migrant’s stories arriving by ship from 1915-1969.
Marietta Elliott-Kleerkopper will be reading about her journey to Australia on the “Volandam” at the Gatehouse landing “Memory Keepers” program at 2.30pm. The Festival continues until 13 February. www.multiculturalarts.com.au
