At Scripted Fragrance, we’re proud to offer over 150 unique candles that celebrate what you love. Even with so many choices, we’re here to be your destination for hyper-local and personalized products.

While we do not offer private label candles, we have two different programs designed to achieve an elevated, co-branded candle experience.

CUSTOM CANDLE PROGRAM

Designed for those who are looking to create a one-of-a-kind candle for their store, property, or special event. Our Custom Candle Program provides the opportunity to co-brand a candle design that will be exclusive to you! From custom fragrance development to extraordinary artwork, we’re here to make the candle of your dreams come to life.

EXPEDITED CANDLE PROGRAM

For those wanting to add their city/region to our City Collection or favorite dog breed or animal to our Pet Collection. Our Expedited Candle Program allows retailers to fast track a candle and prioritize its production with a MOQ of 256 pieces with no set up fees. These candles then become part of our standard offering to all customers. For more information, see page 14.

CUSTOM CANDLE PROGRAM OVERVIEW

1. The project must be a strong fit for both Scripted Fragrance and the retailer. We do not offer private labeling of our candles so each custom project is a collaboration.

2. Orders must meet the MOQ below. All MOQ must contain a single size; Reusable Rocks Glass, Large Gold Tin, OR Mini Gold Tin. The three sizes can not be mixed to achieve the unit minimum.

3. Pricing per candle begins at our standard wholesale pricing, plus a one-time Artwork & Fragrance fee(s) . Applicable taxes and shipping quote provided with a complete ‘ship to’ address. Custom orders may qualify for our Free Freight Program! Refer to our wholesale catalog for additional information.

4. Our lead time for custom candle projects is approximately 3-8+ weeks from PO to shipping.

5. 50% deposit is due prior to production. The remaining 50% is due 3-5 days prior to shipment.

6. All Custom Candle Program orders are final and may not be returned or canceled.

* Starting price for Reusable Rocks Glass Candles include a 2” x 3” black printed design. Color printing, 22k gold, wrapping designs on glass, gold foil on labels, white glass, and other added design features have additional per unit fees and may require a 256 min. order qty. The per unit prices provided in these guidelines are for reference only and may not reflect the cost of your specific project. Fragrance and design fees listed are per candle project. Candle with different fragrances and designs will be subject to their own respective fragrance and artwork fees.

Do you have existing artwork you’d like to use for the label and glass?

Yes! Please provide me with the templates and required specifications for printing. My team will provide all the artwork for both the label & glass.

One time fee of $50 to setup & review artwork proofs. If artwork requires revisions, additional fees may apply.

No, we need your design expertise with artwork.

Pricing starts at $200 for taking existing assets and translating into a candle design including copy writing. Full custom artwork is priced on request.

CUSTOM CANDLE PROGRAM

CUSTOMER PROCESS

STEP 1

Let us know what you want to create! If the project is the right fit for everyone, we can determine the best approach and provide a timeline for development.

STEP 2

After receipt of the PO, we will set up a call if necessary to understand the story you wish to tell through your candle, your fragrance likes & dislikes, artwork, and shipping details. We will guide you through the process in great detail and follow up with any questions.

STEP 3

We start to develop your custom fragrance or we select 3-4 samples from our existing fragrance library for your consideration based on your preferences. We send fragrance samples as 3oz Mini Gold Tins Candles for review. You may also elect to work with your sales rep in-person to identify a fragrance from our existing library from their sample kit.

STEP 4

Depending on how you wish to handle artwork for your label and glass (if applicable), we either review the artwork you provide, translate existing assets into a candle design or we will work on custom artwork just for you. Design proofs are always sent for approval prior to printing.

STEP 5

Upon fragrance & artwork approvals, the pouring begins! We will produce your candles in small batches to ensure the best quality. Each candle is cleaned, labeled, and packaged by hand.

STEP 6

Time to ship! Candles ship via UPS or LTL freight. Candles will be sent to you in a clear protective plastic sleeve or decorative gift bag (additional charge) ready for retail or special event.

CUSTOM CANDLE PROGRAM FAQ

How personalized can the label be on custom candles?

Customers have the ability to customize the title, description, color and artwork on both the label and glass (if applicable). We will guide you through the process step by step if you so choose.. Please note, the Scripted Fragrance branding remains present on packaging for custom projects.

What can’t be customized for custom candles?

The candle tube packaging/box, label size, location of gold foil/embossed elements (if chosen), and candle vessels can not be changed. Scripted Fragrance branding may not be removed from our products.

We need a custom candle for an event in three weeks, can we get this done?

Custom candles require time to develop. If you have an opportunity that is time sensitive, please reach out to us directly to discuss and we will do our best to assist.

Can I have custom Mini Tins made for a wedding?

Yes, we’re happy to work with those who are interested in custom 3 oz. Mini Gold Tins. Same procedures and minimums apply to our 8oz Reusable Rocks Glasses and 7oz Large Gold Tin.

Can you help me design artwork for my candle?

Yes, we’re designers at heart and ready to assist retailers with the development of artwork. Additional artwork fees apply.

I want to have my own fragrance that I can use in your candles and in other products, can you create this?

When creating custom fragrances we use existing fragrance and essential oils to blend one-of-a-kind scents made specifically for candles. We offer the opporunity to partner with our prefered fragrance house to develop ‘from scratch’ fragrances that can be used in various product categories.. Additional fees and higher minimums apply.

I want candles poured in different vessels, do you do this?

At this time we do not typically source vessels for custom projects. If you have a specific request, we’re happy to hear your vision and determine if we’re the right partner.

EXPEDITED CANDLE PROGRAM OVERVIEW

To consider expediting a candle for production, the following conditions apply.

1. The city, desintation or pet must be in high demand. It is up to Scripted Fragrance’s sole discretion to determine if a candle will qualify for our Expedited Program. Strong preference for City candle development is provided in locations where our State Collection soy candles are selling well. If a candle is not approved for our Expedited Program, it may be considered for our Custom Candle Program.

2. A minimum opening order of 256 units. This can be crowd sourced from multiple customers in the form of hard POs with ship dates within 30 days of candle completion. If the PO is with one retailer, we must ship all 256 in the first order. All units must be for our Reusable Rocks Glass Candle to launch a new candle. We welcome crowd sourcing POs for Large Tins and Mini Tins to hit the 256 piece minimum those candle sizes as well. Crowd sourced POs for Large & Mini Tins can be mixed/matched to achieve the 256 pieces.

3. Pricing is same as our normal wholesale. Applicable taxes and shipping quote provided with a complete’ ship to’ address. Expedited orders may qualify for our Free Freight Program! Refer to our wholesale catalog for additional information.
