“I’m really humbled and wasn’t sure I could take charge, but Moshe Rabbeinu told me that it was by command of HaShem Himself, so He will surely inspire me to excel,” said ben Uri, who is only 13 years old. “I only wish my dear grandfather Chur, who passed away just a few months ago, could be here to see me. Priceless Luchos Shattered
The holy Tablets, engraved with the Ten Commandments, were smashed by Moshe Rabbeinu after the disappointed leader witnessed his people worshipping a Golden Calf. It is unclear at this time if the nation will be forgiven for their sin.
“Moshe does not know it yet, but I am happy that he broke the Luchos,” said HaShem. “It surely was hard for him to break something so holy, but he really saved the day. Now that the Luchos-contract is destroyed, I cannot punish them for something they never agreed to! Yasher Koach, Moshe! More power to you for having broken the Luchos!”
