Jewish Long Beach seeks to deepen our community’s connection to Israel’s vibrant and diverse culture. We are grateful to the Baldwin and Kaiser families for partnering with us to send local youth on immersive experiences in Israel with merit-based scholarships. Providing these opportunities helps fufill our collective responsibility to engage with the broader Jewish world. Robert Baldwin Memorial Fund-Experience Israel Grant Samantha Hamilton-Swimming in the Maccabiah Games Shoshana Carter-MASA Gap Year Program Shimshon Sufrin-Yeshiva Summer Learning Program The Robert Baldwin Memorial Fund at Jewish Long Beach was established by the Baldwin and Linden families to promote Jewish continuity by connecting our teens to Israel through organized peer trips and educational programs. The youth that benefit from this wonderful gift are our future.
Don and Andrea Kaiser Family Scholarship Liba Cantor, Hebrew Academy Senior Alon Shafran, Beach Hillel Senior Don and Andrea Kaiser believe in wanting to perpetuate the importance of strong ties to Israel and have established the Kaiser Family Endowment through Jewish Long Beach. One component of this Endowment is the establishment of two scholarships for student trips to Israel. The Kaiser Family Endowment will provide an annual grant each to a graduate of Hebrew Academy of Orange County and to a Hillel student. Jewish Long Beach strives to bring Israel immersion to our community, both overseas and here at home. Want to learn about how Camp Komaroff brings Israeli culture to camp?
