“Abortion Care in California: Current and Future Challenges and How We Can Help”

In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe and almost 50 years of abortion rights, NCJW Greater Long Beach and West Orange County is planning an advocacy-focused virtual speaker program in September. The program will include a briefing on state legislative action, current and future access to full reproductive health care services for in-state and out-of-state patients, and abortion funding for those needing care. Orange County Jewish Genealogical Society (OCJGS)

The Orange County Genealogical Society was formed in 1971 with a great deal of assistance from then Orange County Historian, Donald Clark. We have evolved from a handful of dedicated people to a membership well over 500.

Based on recorded conversations Lisa Cooper’s father had with his mother, Pearl, about her early life in Ukraine, Lisa’s book A Forgotten Land is the story of one Jewish family in the Russian Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, set within the wider context of pogroms, World War I, the Russian Revolution, and civil war.
