2020-2022Goal 1 | Improve Access Increasing access is a critical element in meeting the mission of JFS, as it is important for clients who reach out to us to be able to access services when needed. Key aspects of achieving improvements in service delivery include addressing the agency’s physical infrastructure by building an optimal space coupled with increasing staffing and modernizing technology systems.
Key Objectives:
• Develop a capacity and building plan to expand access to all service offerings. The capacity plan will include staffing, furniture, fixtures, and equipment needs
Goal 2 | Create Sustainable & Supportive Systems
Over the next 3 years, we will create financial stability and ensure long-term sustainability through focused efforts on further diversifying and increasing current funding streams. JFS will remain open to mergers and affiliations that strengthen its financial portfolio and align with its mission and values.
Key Objectives:
• Investigate feasibility of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) model for primary care clinics
• Evaluate and analyze funding streams annually
• Establish and maintain reserves of 6 months’ worth of operating cash
• Secure capital and endowment funding that supports JFS expansion and ongoing operational costs through JFS agency and the JFS Foundation
• Pursue financial sustainability and continuation of PLAN
• Complete a housing project plan for PLAN Clubhouse members utilizing the PLAN Housing Fund assets, over the next three years
Goal 3 | Build Community
JFS will build a better community through its leadership in social and mental health services and its partnerships with other organizations. JFS conveys its vision through a planned communication and public relations strategy.
Key Objectives:
• Increase awareness throughout the community about JFS
• Establish new branding for JFS of Greater Dallas
• Improve JFS visibility as a leader in areas of expertise
Goal 4 | Engage People
Enhancing employee engagement with a focus on mission driven services and outcomes is essential to the overall success of the agency. Retaining engaged and loyal staff is a key ingredient to uphold the culture of excellence within the agency. Strengthening relationships with our external stakeholders will strengthen our existing culture and is key in accomplishing our mission.

• Establish JFS as a non-profit employer of choice in the region
