JEF makers jury

The awards in the JEF makers competition are awarded by a specially composed jury of filmmakers and by the audience. The three awards are handed out during the JEF makers day.

Anne Verbeure BE

After obtaining her Master's degree in Art Science at the University of Ghent, Anne Verbeure immersed herself in film studies, more specifically animation. In this medium she found a way to combine theoretical research with a personal art practice. Her focus is mainly on 2D drawn animation on paper, but she likes to experiment with all kinds of forms and materials.

Pepijn Claus BE

Pepijn Claus is a 29-year-old animator and illustrator with a great love for (animated) film, graphic design, teaching and coffee. He animated on productions such as Urbanus—De Vuilnisheld and Where Is Anne Frank.

Diëgo Nurse BE

Diëgo Nurse studied computer science in Amsterdam, and film at the MAD-Faculty in Genk and LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. His ADD is a major asset guaranteeing a constant stream of new ideas. Diëgo incorporates social topics into his work and combines different art forms.
