Children's jury

The children's jury hands out four prizes: best feature film, best short film, best documentary in competition, and the medialab award. We have a children's jury in Antwerp and Bruges.

“I love to be in the children's jury, because I’ve been at the JEF festival before. I found it super fun and I love making stop-motion videos. My favourite film is For your eyes only, one of the many James Bond films. Let the spring break begin!”

“I like to be part of the children's jury, because I’m a very very very very very very very very very very very big fan of films. I’ve seen at least 70 films. As you can see in the picture, I’m sometimes ’80s cool. Also a big fan of Star Wars, Minecraft and also a bit of Harry Potter.”

I also want to learn a lot about science and technology by watching films. Spiderman is my favourite film, because there's lots of action. I’m looking forward to spring break!”

Ida Colpaert °2010

“I’m Ida Colpaert, 11 years old and live in SintAndries. I’m in my sixth year of primary school De Zessprong and will switch to secondary school in a couple of months. In my spare time, I play volleyball and can be found in the Flemish youth movement KSA! I absolutely love watching films, whether the story is exciting, funny or sad. I’m definitely looking forward to being part of the children's jury!”

“My name is Judith Lowie. I am 11 years old and I live in Bruges. My hobbies are soccer, music, reading jury, and sea scouts, The Buccaneers. I love to read and play the piano. I am also a film lover and my favourite movie is The lost treasure of the knights templar. I very much enjoy eating macaroni. I am looking forward to watching a lot of fun and interesting movies during spring break.”
