Recognizing Habits and Patterns We are often called “creatures of habit.� Habits can be both healthy and unhealthy, and conscious and deliberate or so routine that we no longer notice them. This exercise asks you to consider some of the habits that likely need to be changed for your well-being and that of those around you. This exercise should be repeated periodically for review.

What habits routinely get you into trouble?

Describe each habit and some of the problems it has brought on.

How would it feel to be free of both the problems and the habit?

How can you enlist help in changing habits you have identified as ultimately unhelpful to your growth?
