My favorite basketball memory is... Hitting a half court shot to win a game in eighth grade. If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be? Steve Nash. I love the game of basketball because... I don’t think about anything else when I’m playing, and I have fun competing. What’s on your pre-game playlist? Turks by NAV (feat. Travis Scott) Who is your favorite professional basketball player? Kyrie Irving. I watch him a lot and learn different moves from him. What does playing Jesuit Dallas basketball mean to you? Brotherhood and friendship. It’s a community that everyone wants to be a part of.

When I was six, my teammate missed a free throw, I got the rebound, and with time running down I dribbled towards the wrong basket and scored on a half-court shot for the other team. If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be? Christian Laettner. I love the game of basketball because... It’s a game of failure, and that’s how you learn. What’s on your pre-game playlist? Big Mixes and Taylor Swift. Who is your favorite professional basketball player? Alex Caruso. He has swagger. What does playing Jesuit Dallas basketball mean to you? Doing anything and everything to get a win in addition to making the man next to you better every day.

ALEX JOHNSON • JUNIOR • MANAGER Who inspired you to play basketball? My family. My dad and brother live and breathe basketball, so I fell into that with them. My favorite basketball memory is... When I was at Cameron Indoor Arena watching a close Duke game. If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be? Michael Jordan. He seems like a cool guy when he’s not playing basketball. I love the game of basketball because... There isn’t anything like it. The mood of the game can switch in a matter of minutes and I feel like you can never be relaxed because the game can change quickly. What’s on your pre-game playlist? Everything rap. Drake or Gunna is probably on there the most but mainstream rap. Who is your favorite professional basketball player? Michael Jordan. He is the G.O.A.T. and reminds me of my dad. What does playing Jesuit Dallas basketball mean to you? I am surrounded by my friends and a great coaching staff. There is really nothing else I could ask for in a community.
