Jelly and Hyde

On May 8th students from Primary 5 watched the performance of Jekyll and Hyde carried out by the educational theatre company Jumping Ducks. It combined acting, singing and dancing and it was a magical experience for the children introducing them to new stories and characters, teaching them how to appreciate live performances and fostering their imagination.

Victoria García, a student from Primary 5, said that " Jekyll and Hyde conveys different feelings such as fear, excitement and humour. It was like a rollercoaster! For example, I felt very frightened every time that Hyde showed up, but I couldn't stop laughing at Emma's conference about metamorphosis. I think that the songs were enthralling and the sets were very well designed, so that the actors could turn them depending on what they needed or didn't need. I also found very interesting the personality of each character: Emma's worry for her son, Lucy's determination for helping her friend, Jekyll's desperation for finding out what was going on and even Hyde's evilness representing the worst side of humanity and the most evil and wildest things mankind can do. I love the story of Jekyll
