EDUCATION

1999-2001 MFA in Composition - New Media, California Institute of the Arts, Valencia. Thesis: [or, the whale] - An Interdisciplinary Adaptation of Herman Melville's Moby Dick. Degree granted May, 2001. Emphasis in sonic art composition. Studied primarily with Morton Subotnick, Tom Erbe and Mark Trayle. Additional study with James Tenney, Anne LeBaron and Bunita Marcus. 1994-97 BA in Music Production and Engineering, Berklee College of Music, Boston MA Emphasis in Music Technology and Computer Music. Degree granted December 1997. Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Studied with Richard Boulanger.

AWARDS/ACHIEVEMENTS

WON 2015 Emmy award for Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness WON 2012 Emmy award for Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness 2011 BMI Conducting Workshop Participant 2010 Awarded 'Subito' Grant by the American Composers Forum's San Francisco Chapter. 2010 Recipient of the Djerassi Honorary Artist Fellowship Award. Awards and recognition for various television commercials including: Samsonite, Human Nature television commercial (co-composer/sound designer): Inducted into the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

2004-present Composer of television/film and concert music. April-May 2009 Artist in Residence at Djerassi Foundation 2003-2004 Producer, Performer and Sound Designer. Instrumentation includes computer, synthesizers, guitar, hammond organ and rhodes piano on various genre-spanning projects from sonic art pieces to rock albums inc. David Lee Roth.
