Jeremy is an aspiring fifth-year architecture student with a passion for creating sustainable communities where people can thrive. He grew up in both the Bronx, New York and Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania, giving him a unique outlook on varying community structures and social fabrics. Today, Jeremy studies at The Pennsylvania State University, with a minor in architectural history and a certificate from the Penn State Presidential Leadership Academy. His current research focuses on self-sustaining communities and encouraging more progressive forms of community participation in cities. At a global level, Jeremy has worked with Growth International Volunteer Excursions, an international sustainable development organization working to assist rural communities. He has traveled to Tanzania, Thailand, and Laos to assist with teaching English to non-English speakers, created permaculture plots to increase access to healthy food, worked alongside community members to help build sustainable income infrastructure, and aided in the construction of a secondary school. Throughout his time at Penn State, Jeremy has remained involved in building a stronger arts and architecture community. He currently works as a part-time tour guide and serves as an Arts Ambassador for the College of Arts and Architecture. Jeremy also serves part-time as his college's Faculty Council Student Representative. He helped re-establish his university's AIAS chapter, as well as their NOMAS chapter. He has held numerous positions in both organizations, serving as Vice-President for NOMAS in 2022 and President of AIAS in 2023. In November 2024, he began serving at a national level as the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force Chair for the AIAS. Recently, Jeremy was selected as a 2025 NOMA Future Faces Fellow and as part of the program, matched with Perkins+Will for a summer fellowship. Jeremy's overall professional goal is to improve communities worldwide through policy reform, advocacy, and design.
