JENSEN HALL
HELLO!
To me, design is personal. Every aspect of design allows for unique human experience and interaction. It is your own place to work, live, and play, and should be treated and designed with that in mind. The final outcome should be something that is loved and cherished by the user. Loved and cherished not just for the way it appears to others, but for the way it is used, interacted with and experienced, and for all of the small and personal details that can be found within.

CONCEPT DYNAMIC BRILLIANCE To be dynamic is to be characterized by constant change, activity, or progress. It is to be full of energy; full of new ideas. The intense brightness of light; the vividness of color; exceptional talent or intelligence is better known as brilliance. Generation Now represents everything that dynamic brilliance is. Through a design focusing on new and innovative workplace solutions, it will aim to enhance the ambitious and progressive entity that is Generation Now.

CUSTOM SEATING COMPONENT
TOWER LEVEL TWO, in addition to open office workspaces, has a small conference room along with a custom seating component in the middle. The seating area can be used for visitor and employee seating for lounging or working. The conference room overlooks Biscayne Blvd. with a view of the rest of the office space while still being private to hold small meetings in. These spaces are designed with workspace flexibility in mind.
TOWER LEVEL THREE is home to three executive offices, a large work area for collaborative work, and the same custom seating component as seen on the second floor. This level is more private, with each executive having their own large private office to hold one on one meetings with clients or employees.

ANNEX LOBBY & RECORDING STUDIO ANNEX SECTIONS
THE ANNEX LOBBY was designed as a comfortable space for the artists of Generation Now to easily access the space dedicated to their privacy while they do what they love. THE RCORDING STUDIO incorporates the concept with neon lights and bright colors, while acoustical wall coverings, wall panels, and ceiling pannels keep the studio soundproof and comfortable.

ANNEX THEATER
ELEVATION
Designed specifically for the musicians signed to Generation Now, THE THEATER is a space to be used for small and intimate performances either in front of a live audience, or filmed for special and unique opportunities. Due to the fact that this space wasn’t always going to be in use, and wasn’t always going to have people watching live, I wanted to come up with a design solution to avoid the potential problem of asking the question “where can the seating be stored when not in use”. The solution I came up with was a custom built stool storage wall. This wall features storage slots for 16 stools, as the area is meant for intimate and relaxed shows and performances. When not in use, the stools can be placed in their respective slots, and when there is a small event going on, they can be easily accessed and removed.

A RETREAT FOR ROB NELSON STUDIO I: RESIDENTIAL DESIGN COMPLETED MAY, 2020 This project is a vacation home designed for high profile biologist and film maker Rob Nelson, his wife Haley, and his two young sons. It is a place for Rob to think, research, and decompress— a retreat for him and his family to make memories at. It tailors to his and his families’ specific hobbies and interests, meeting all of his needs and requirements. All components are drawn by hand.

CONCEPT CIRCULATION
SITE: 1250 Live Oak Island Rd. Crawfordville, Florida 32327
The main concept behind my design is circulation. Circulation for this design goes back to two of its’ definitions: movement to and fro or around something, and the movement of sap through a plant. Both ways of defining circulation reflect important aspects of Rob Nelson’s life. As a film maker, creator, father, husband, adventurer, and everything else in between, he is always circulating in his life. As a biologist, he is more than familiar with the circulation relating to plants. By combining all of the different aspects in his life, the keyword of circulation was landed on and became the foundation and focus of the design.

THE OFFICE includes a custom built book case. It was designed with the client and his needs in mind, as he is a scientist and a film maker, needing a large storage space in the office for his materials. The custom nook was designed with his children in mind, giving them a personal space in the room to hideaway and spend time with their dad or read books of their own.

THE LIVING ROOM features a mezzanine open to the loft area on the second floor. This design choice was made to implement the concept of circulation. The double height ceiling enforces the circulation throughout the living room, corridor, and the formal dining room as it allows the flow of air to move (and circulate) through the mezzanine on both sides. The custom build mantle is used as a divider between the double height ceiling area in the living room, and the more private side. It also helps to enhance the circulation in the room. THE INFORMAL DINING ROOM is right off of the kitchen. This room features wooden beams built into the recess of the ceiling. This was also designed to reinforce circulation throughout the room and keep the natural circulation, as it blends into the kitchen and through the living room.

YOUTH ARTIST HOSTEL ARCHITECTURE STUDIO I COMPLETED NOVEMBER, 2019 The goal of this project was to take a unique model of a cube and draw its’ section cuts. From there, the sections would be refined and turned into another physical model which would then be modeled digitally and turned into an artist youth hostel hosting public, semi-public, and private spaces. A section drawing was rendered from the new digital model.

OPULENT BREEZE As a synonym for luxurious, the meaning of opulent will combine with the soft breeze of Delray Beach to emphasize what this project is about. The feeling of luxury will intertwine and connect with the surrounding environment, while bringing a breath of fresh air into each design choice.

THE FAN ZONE PERSONAL PROJECT COMPLETED DECEMBER, 2020 This is a personal project that I decided to do after looking at the new design proposal for the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. I noticed that the Fan Zone wasn’t going to be renovated and I took it upon myself to design something that would be coherent with the new renovations.
