Dear Caterpillar Families, Welcome to Tucson! I’ve lived here most of my life, so I can only imagine the challenges of moving to a whole new part of the country. My sense is once your children are settled in a school that the whole family feels good about, the rest falls into place. We offer a diverse and inclusive environment that is welcoming to everyone. Green Fields School is a K-12 independent school founded in 1933. Our classroom sizes are small, personalized learning is essential, individual attention is high, and our educators are exceptionally talented. Green Fields embraces research-based instruction that is experiential, inquiry, and project based. We want students to remain challenged and engaged in the work of thinking, creating, problemsolving, and producing new thoughts and ideas. Green Fields is also the only K-12 school in Arizona to incorporate the Student Leadership Competencies® into both the curriculum and daily experiences of students in an effort to help them develop the competencies they need to be successful in college, life, and their future careers. Throughout K-12, students are given opportunities to develop specific leadership competencies and are challenged to practice those in a safe, supportive, and educational environment. Green Fields is committed preparing students for their futures. Our students graduate 100% college ready. Green Fields students benefit from having a full-time college counselor on staff and each student receives individualized college counseling. Each member of Class of 2016 was admitted into an average of 11 universities and awarded an average of $130,000 in merit scholarships. Our students have attended Harvard, Stanford, Georgetown, Loyola, Cal Poly, University of Arizona, and many more prestigious universities. Our students are studying law, art, film, engineering, health, computer coding and a variety of other subjects. I’d like to invite you to our campus next time you’re in Tucson to experience Green Fields School for yourself. A tour can be scheduled anytime that is convenient for you. Our office will be open during the summer and we host an annual summer camp for kids as well.
