Her character fights temptations, discrimination and biases to her 'Americanisms'. To her French counterparts; she is an obnoxious entitled American who thinks everything evolves around the good ol' USA and their oversized egos and zealousness to dominate the world.
While to her French teacher, she is a promising language student with a certain je ne sais quoiis being distracted from her true calling!
When it comes to her love life, she's got her knickers in a twist literally as she tries to untangle the love triangle between her former meilleur ami and client Camille (Camille Razat) and her beau Chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), while trying to reel from her one night stand with Camille's bother and now feeling indecently exposed to a fatal attraction to her classmate Alfie (Lucien Leon Laviscount) who is not helping matters by being buddies...Wait! 'mates' with Gabriel! That's how far Emily is willing to go to keep her job in Paris...but is there a hidden message we can salvage from this DramaComedy series? Publicity stunts perhaps?
Despite her infamous sex life and scandals, here are 4 things we can all learn from this fictitious topsy turvy 'Marketing Executive from Chicago'
VISBILITY BEGETS CREDEBILITY 1.
Em never misses an opportunity to make every moment instagramable! Despite her busy schedule, challenges and ups and downs she makes sure to take a selfy for the client. You can do that for your brand!
2. CREDEBILITY BEGETS EXPERTISE
The visibility Emily evokes is not always planned to perfection, and that's what makes it perfect for authenticity! She doesn't take pictures only to add corporate branding and captions. She shares it live and raw!
3. EXPERTISE BEGETS TRUST
It takes practice to gain marketing expertise, but you ' re already an expert in what you do, trust your instincts as the expert, then the audience will trust you as their expert. Not the other way round!
4. TRUST BEGETS INFLUENCE
Influence is earned and not guaranteed. In order to influence your audience you have to be willing to be vulnerable and own your mistakes. Em does this with client and wins their trust each time - well even when they risk their fingers!
