Abstracting Place

This project was about creating an abstract drawing that represents the ideas behind the neighborhood of Callowhill, without making anything too literal. These drawings had to be digital or hand drawn and beautifully created into a comprehensive drawings. This taught me to think abstractly and to use different thing to represent different ideas. The drawings on the top depicts the old versus the new callowhill with the use of bright and dull colors and different shape types. The bottom photo represents the movement throughout Callowhill and how one experiences it as they walk through. I used freely drawn lines to show this along with different shapes to represent landmarks.
