Family & FRG EVENTS PRE DEPLOYMENT BRIEF - on Tuesday, March 19th there will be a Pre Deployment Brief at the MPA (the post movie theater) for all Soldiers and Family members of Task Force Mountain Eagle. Please join us for the 10:00am or the 6:00pm brief (briefs will be the same so please choose the one the best works for you).

MEDDAC sends flu vaccine reminder U.S. Army Medical Department Activity flu vaccination clinics and hours are as follows: *Guthrie Primary Care Clinic provides walk-in influenza vaccinations for Family Members and retirees who are TRICARE beneficiaries, from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. *Eligible Department of Defense civilian employees and Guthrie Clinic health care workers can receive their flu vaccine at the Occupational Health Clinic, from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. *Active-duty Soldiers will receive flu vaccinations by unit appointment. Consult your chain of command for more information. *Pregnant women are at high-risk for illness caused by influenza. The OB / GYN Clinic in Watertown will provide flu vaccinations during its scheduled patient appointments. Contractors on Fort Drum are not eligible to receive the vaccine through MEDDAC, but are encouraged to obtain it through their personal health care providers or the local public health department. Remember, getting a flu vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting against influenza. For updates and information, call the Flu Hotline at 772-5044.

Community to celebrate Women’s History Month Members of the Fort Drum community will celebrate Women’s History Month with an observance from 3 to 4 p.m. March 28 in the Commons, hosted by 10th Mountain Division Equal Opportunity. This year’s theme is “Women inspiring innovation through imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.” Guest speaker will be Jerilyn E. Fairman, dean for curriculum and instruction for Jefferson Community College, Watertown. Admission is free!
