FACTS ABOUT ROMBLON MAP OF THE PHILIPPINES
Romblon State University is geographically located in the municipality of Odiongan in Tablas Island, province of Romblon. Romblon is an island province in the Philippines located in the MIMAROPA Region. It lies south of Marinduque and Quezon, east of Mindoro, north of Aklan and Capiz, and west of Masbate. Its capital is also named Romblon, known as the Marble capital of the Philippines.
The province of Romblon is composed of three larger islands; Romblon Island, Tablas Island, Sibuyan Island, The smaller islands are; Banton, Maestro de Campo, Simara, Carabao, Carlota and Isabel. The province of Romblon has mainly agricultural economy with copra farming, fishing, and rice farming as the chief agricultural activities. The fertile soil nurtures various agricultural crops like coconut, rice, corn, bananas, raffia palm, root crops, fruit trees, and many others. Its abundant fishing grounds supply fish to various distribution centers in nearby provinces. Mining is also a lucrative industry in the province due to its vast mineral resources. Aside from marble and commercial businesses, tourism is also becoming a viable source of income for the province as its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, natural caves, and splendid water falls attract local and foreign tourists to visit and experience its physical beauty and culture.

From Batangas Port, Batangas City, the Montenegro Shipping and 2Go Shipping Lines operate the 8-hour sea travel overnight from 5:30pm to 2:30am to the ports of Odiongan, then, also to San Agustin and Magdiwang in Sibuyan Island.
From the town of Sta. Fe, Romblon, about an hour travel by pump boat ride at 9:30am will take you to Hambil, Carabao Island.
Sibuyan Island, Romblon can be reached from Dalahican Port in Lucena City, Batangas onboard Starhorse Shipping Lines.
By air, Swift Air, flies thrice a week from NAIA, Pasay to Tablas, for 1 hour flight every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
Pump boats/motorized bancas have regular trips connecting various islands in the province.
Jeepneys, vans, and tricycles are available in all towns for local trips.

Romblon State University has ten (10) campuses located in different municipalities in the province of Romblon. Six campuses are located in Tablas Island, including the Main Campus located in the municipality of Odiongan. The other locations are in San Andres, Calatrava, San Agustin, Sta. Maria, and Sta. Fe. The satellite campuses are situated in the island of Carabao (San Jose), Romblon capital island, and in San Fernando and Cajidiocan, Sibuyan Island.
As of 2023, there is a total average of 17,000 students enrolled in the university. 52.94% of the population comprises the main campus and 47.06% in other campuses. There are 855 employees: 476 is in the field of teaching / instruction; 279 are regular faculty members; and 197 are non-regular lecturers and part-timers Table 1 presented above shows the number of regular faculty members and their degrees and ranks. These data are inclined to the courses offered by the university to anchor the faculty member's expertise in their specific fields. Table 2 above shows the job ranks and educational attainment of the regular faculty members.
