HISTORY

Mariotto’s Residence

The building was built during the Modernistic period of 1925-1970. Inspired by the Art Deco style, the Modernistic style expressed architectural expressions with different shapes and functions. Which lead to the Modern Art style and was know for expressing details such as smooth surfaces, curved corners, as well as the use of creating horizontal structures. Lastly, it included the International style that is characterized by the uses of rich materials, refined details, and proportions which we see so much in communities locate in San Francisco, California. The communities are usually diverse, open to change, unique, humble, and unique.

Project Summary The three-story condominium building contains a separate levels which are rented out by three different families. The building is located in the Laurel Heights in San Francisco, California. Laurel Heights is a neighborhood that is located in the Western District of San Francisco, California. The building has been owned by the Marriotto family since 1955. The Marriotto building is located to the South of Presidio of San Francisco, California and East of the Richmond District. It is also connects with Geary Boulevard and the University of San Francisco in a family oriented area. It is in a great area for education, recreational parks, shopping centers and provides nice scenic views of the city in the upper levels of the condominium. The new renovations will be unique and are customized to fit needs of each family living on each floor level. The modern styles will be designed to last over time.
