Dear Parents, Guardians and Students: Since its incorporation in 1937, the Sherman School, which originally housed only three classrooms, is evolving into a premier institution for teaching and learning. Although exponentially larger than our initial establishment 80 years ago, Sherman’s still-small size allows us to work closely, to know each other intimately, and to learn and grow -- together. The following Family-Student Handbook has been compiled to provide its readers with details that pertain to a wide variety of important matters concerning school life, procedures, and expectations. We trust that you will review this Handbook closely and refer to it over time. On behalf of the faculty and staff at the Sherman School, welcome to the start of the 2019-2020 academic school year.
