Annual New York GU Meeting SMSNA and ISSM Fall Meeting

Jefferson Faculty at the Annual New York GU Meeting

Dr. Dan Petrylak from Yale and Dr. Leonard Gomella co-chaired this annual meeting in New York, which includes two days of GU Oncology presentations. MARCH 11-12, 2022 HYBRID INTERACTIVE CONFERENCE NEW YORK

Dr. Leonard Gomella along with Dr. Dan Petrylak, Director of Genitourinary Oncology, Professor of Medicine and Urology, Yale University Cancer Center in New Haven, Connecticut, co-chaired this 15th annual meeting in New York.

Other Jefferson faculty who participated included Dr. Scott Hubosky who presented “Management of Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinomas,” and Dr. Kevin Kelly who discussed “New Approaches for Advanced Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer: Hormonal Agents and PARP Inhibitors.” Participating faculty members were from centers across the United States with almost 200 individuals participating in the live and virtual meeting.

SMSNA and ISSM Fall Meeting

The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) and the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) held a joint scientific meeting on October 27-30, 2022, in Miami. The SMSNA and the ISSM are healthcare professionals dedicated to the science of human sexual function and dysfunction, and they promote the study of the anatomy, physiology, diagnosis, and treatment of human sexual function and dysfunction. SMSNA is an AUAaffiliated subspecialty society.

Dr. Zachary Prebay, PGY-2 , Dr. Rishabh Simhal, Research Fellow, Kerith Wang, Urology Research Scholar, and Yash Shah, SKMC undergraduate, were all mentored by Dr. Paul Chung and had the opportunity to participate in the meeting. Other SKMC students and previous Jefferson Urology Scholars also contributed to the meeting abstracts. Jefferson Urology Research scholar Kerith Wang with Research Fellow Dr. Rishi Simbahl and PGY-2 Urology resident Dr. Zachary Repbay. Dr. Paul Chung mentored this team who had 5 presentations at the fall SMSNA and the ISSM scientific meeting.
