1 Drs. 24 Dr. Gomella had the opportunity to meet with Jefferson Urology graduate Dr. Kymora Scotland during the 2022 Clinical Society of Genitourinary Surgeons meeting at UCLA in November. Kymora presented her research on understanding the physiologic impact of ureteral stents. See page 65 for more information on Dr. Scotland’s career and accomplishments.

26 Starting in the summer of 2022, our JUP faculty, Drs. Whitney Smith and Pat Shenot, began office hours at Einstein Elkins Park to provide UDS and other clinical services for Einstein Urology. The Elkins Park staff (pictured) include Erneshia Reynolds, Natasha Varela and Aliyah Zeigler, who provide excellent support for patient care.

28 The 13th Annual Methodist Hospital Foundation Fashion Fundraiser was held at the Crystal Tea Room on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Guests of the Department of Urology sponsorship included Barbara Devine and her daughter, Amanda, Janice Harper, her sisters and other guests. The event included a portrait unveiling of Dr. Marty Koucher, a partner of Dr. Mark Graham from South Philadelphia, who passed away.

34 Doka and Suzanne are frequent preceptors for our Jefferson’s NP program, seen here with Raine Robinson, RN-BC, BSN (Center). Raine is enrolled in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at Jefferson and graduates in May 2023. She has observed in the OR, helped with floor management of patients, and performed bedside procedures in the SPU. She has high interest for pursuing a career in Urology after graduation, and wants to thank the entire urology team’s commitment to training her.
