Tu B’Shevat Shabbat Dinner

Growing from Defining Moments – Tuesday, Jan. 29

Friday, Jan. 25, 6—8 p.m.

7-9:30 p.m. $18/person Dr.Jim Sharon, licensed psychologist and certified life coach, will guide participants through a written process that will deeply inform participants of ways in which a trying period has shaped their life and may catalyze their future.

Free for 2 years and younger; $8/child, $15/adult Enjoy an evening of noshing, talking, singing, and relaxing as we celebrate Shabbat and Tu B’ Shevat (birthday of the trees).

JCC South Denver’s 1st Year Birthday Party! Sunday, March 10, 3-4:30 p.m.

FREE JCC South Denver opened its doors to the community one year ago! Join us to celebrate our first year. Snacks will be served.

Community Passover Sampling – Sunday, March 17 10—11:30 a.m.

$20/family Designed for children in 3 years – first grade.Children and their families are invited to experience an interactive Passover program.Learn about the traditions of Passover through storytelling, matzah making, and tasting delicious holiday foods.

Mimouna Festival – Thursday, April 4 5:45—7:45 p.m.

Jewish Parenting University: Your Jewish Parenting Journey – Feb. 5, 10, 19, 26; March 12 $180/couple Designed for expectant parents, this innovative program explores the Jewish traditions and rituals connected with pregnancy, birth, and parenting. JPU is a program sponsored by HealthONE Rose Medical Center and JCC South Denver.

Women’s Night Out Series – Wednesday, Feb. 6, April 24, Oct. 9, Dec., 11 7-8:30 p.m.

Cost: $15/night; $48/4-part series Take care of yourself, and enjoy a night out at JCC South Denver. Relax with a glass of wine, socialize, and meet new friends.

Mimouna is a North African Jewish celebration held the day after Passover. It marks the start of spring and the return of eating “Chametz” (bread products). Celebrate with North African music, drum circle, and cooking “Mofleta” the traditional north African pancake we eat only at the “Mimouna”.
