Lauren Kracl Outside Hitter (2005) 2005 FirstTeam Lauren Kracl, a sophomore out sider hitter from Eudora, Kan., was selected a firstteam NJCAA and AVCA AllAmerica peformer after leading JCCC to a 354 record and the program’s first NJCAA National Championship. She also was voted the top player in District K, Region VI and the East Jayhawk Conference. She was the fifth player in team history to earn MVP of the conference. Kracl also was voted MVP of the national tournament after leading JCCC with 98 digs and a hitting percentage of .270. Kracl ranks among the top players nationally in kills and digs per game. Her 434 total kills and 495 digs this season rank third alltime at JCCC. Earlier in the campaign, Kracl was twice select ed the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week, and on she was the NJCAA Player of the Week for Sept. 1824. Kracl joined the program that season after earning honorable mention AllMIAA accolades at Missouri Western University her freshman year. She was a stand out athlete at Eudora High School garnering AllState accolades seven times in volleyball and basketball.
Emily Escher Outside Hitter (200405) 2005 FirstTeam Emily Escher, a sophomore right side hitter from Topeka, Kan., earned firstteam NJCAA All American, firstteam AllDistrict K and firstteam East Jayhawk AllConference accolades in 2005 while leading JCCC to a 354 record and the pro grams first NJCAA volleybal national title. She also was named to the NJCAA AllTournament Team. She led JCCC with 124 digs and was second with 80 kills in the national tournament. Escher ranked second on the team this season with 367 kills and 540 digs. Her 540 digs are the second highest season total alltime at JCCC. Escher also was twice selected the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week. Escher also joined the program after starting at another program. Escher used a redshirt sea son at Washburn University before she transferred to JCCC for the 2004 season. As a freshman, Escher earned alldistrict and and allconference honors, and was select ed the team’s MVP. Escher ranks third alltime at JCCC for career kills with 655 and second for career kills with 726.
Katie Latenser
American her sophomore season, Latenser earned second team NJCAA AllAmerican, firstteam AllRegion VI/District N and firstteam AllEast Jayhawk Conference accolades in 2006. She is the only player in team history to be named AllAmerican as a freshman and sophomore. Additionally, she broke her own season record for digs fin ishing with 807, 223 more than her recordsetting effort as a freshman. She also shattered the career mark, finish ing with 1391 digs over her two seasons, 648 greater than the previous mark. She ended the season ranked eighth nationally in digs per game with an average of 6.4 per game.
Jackie Swab Middle Hitter (200607) 2007 FirstTeam

Jackie Swab earned firstteam AllAmerica accolades following her sophomore season, while helping JCCC to a 285 record, an undefeated conference season, and a runnerup finish at the 2007 NJCAA National Tournament. Swab led the team with 358 kills and an attack percentage of .349. She averaged3.3 kills per match. She also was second on the team with 104 blocks. Her 358 season kills ranked 10th at JCCC. She recorded 705 kills for her career, which ranks her third alltime in team history. Swab also ranks 11th alltime with 284 career blocks. In addition to her AllAmerica honor, Swab earned firstteam AllRegion VI/District N and firstteam AllEast Jayhawk Conference honors.

Middle Hitter (2007) 2007 SecondTeam Sydney Pemberton, a freshman middle hitter, garnered second team NJCAA AllAmerican in 2007. Pemberton helped JCCC JCCC to a 285 record, an undefeated conference season, and a runnerup finish at the 2007 NJCAA National Tournament. She also earned firstteam AllRegion VI/District N, firstteam AllEast Jayhawk Conference honors and was twice selected the District N Player of the Week. Pemberton led the team with 132 blocks, and her 1.211 blocks per game average ranked 42nd in the NJCAA. She also ranked 45th nationally in hitting effi ciency at 34.760 percent. Pemberton ranked second on the team in kills with 350, which ranks 13th on JCCC¹s season chart.

Libero (2005, 2006) 2005 Honorable Mention 2006 SecondTeam Katie Latenser proved to be on the top libero’s in the country in both her freshman and sopho more seasons. She is the only player in JCCC history to earn AllAmerica accolades as both a freshman and sophomore. She earned honorable mention honors her freshman cam paign, and was also selected firstteam AllDistrict K and firstteam East Jayhawk AllConference. She led the team with 584 digs, which is a new single season record at JCCC. The previous record was 452 set in 1991. She also led the team with 55 service aces.
