MAY POWERHOUSE TIRE FLIP
Mon.-Fri. • 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The challenge is to flip the tire as many times as possible in a two-minute time frame. This contest will have categories for men and women. The person that flips the tire the most in two minutes in each category will receive a prize at the end of the month.
MAY TWO-MILE CARDIO CHALLENGE
Mon.-Fri. • 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes or rowing machines to complete this challenge. Each patron is to make sure a staff member records their time and distance. Prizes will be given to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment with the fastest time at the end of the month.
June Bench Press Competition
Mon., Wed., and Fri.
6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Patrons are invited to come out to see who can bench the most weight. There will be categories for men and women but no weight class. Each patron is to make sure a staff member verifies the weight benched. The man and woman who lift the most weight will be awarded a prize at the end of the month.

We invite patrons of all fitness levels to learn the proper use of fitness equipment and the benefits of stretching and flexing, which help improve strength. If interested, please call to schedule an appointment.

May 20 • 9:30-10:30 a.m. Experience two hours of non-stop spinning and get some great exercise. Cost is $3.
80s ZUMBA® FEST
May 27 • 10–11:30 a.m. Dance away the pounds in this fast-paced and fun class. Zumba combines dance movements that tone the body using aerobic and fitness principles to achieve cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
SUPERHERO 5K FUN RUN/WALK
June 24 • 7 a.m.
Dress up in your favorite superhero attire and come out to this fun 5K. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. Families, strollers and leashed pets are welcome.

BRAGGING RIGHTS CHALLENGE
BOARD • YEAR-ROUND
Everyone is welcome to compete against present and former patrons to make it on the METC Challenge Board. Challenges consist of the fastest 2,000-meter row, most weight benched, deadlifted and lifted in a squat, most push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, fastest one mile lap and most tire flips completed in two minutes.

Join us during May to try to complete this fitness challenge. This is open to all eligible METC Fitness Center patrons. Interested patrons should sign up at the front desk. After each challenge place your numbers in the challenge binder at the front desk. The best scores receive a prize.
Week 1: Most miles run/walked

Week 3: Most push-ups
Week 4: Most free throws made in two minutes
ARMED FORCE 5K RUN/WALK
May 13 • 8 a.m. This event takes place at the Pershing Sports complex, Bldg. 3212. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., transportation will be provided for students, volunteers, and other participants located at the Aquatics Center.

This class is a mixture of plyometrics strength training, core strengthening and cardiovascular exercises set to upbeat music.

8:15-9 a.m.
This high-intensity bodyweight training workout is choreographed to the beat of the music. Pushups, squats, burpees, and lunges are staples of this routine.
ZUMBA®

Get energized working out to a mix of Latin and Hip Hop geared towards cardio endurance, flexibility, coordination, muscle tone and strength.

5,000M ROWER CHALLENGE
Weight Lift Challenge
June 17 • 9:30 a.m.
Men and women attempt to lift 1,000 lbs. and 500 lbs., respectively, in a combined bench press, dead lift and squat challenge. Prizes will be awarded to the man and woman who lift the most weight.

All men and women are invited to try to lift 1,000 lbs. and 650 lbs respectively. Any participant that manages to lift more than the goal weight will receive a fitness bag.
JUNE 40-YARD SPRINT WORKOUT
Monday-Friday • 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During this workout each patron will run a 40-yard sprint, then turn around and rest 35 seconds and run another 40-yard sprint. They will continue this process until completing (14) 40-yard sprints. The patron with the best time receives a fitness bag.
