A-Arm Removal

Upper Control Arm Removal
1. Prior to installation, verify your part number ordered with the part number received, Driver Side and Passenger Side stamped in the arm by the ball joint. (For
USA driven vehicles.)
2. Jack up and place a jack stand under the frame rail behind the front wheel.
3. Remove wheel.
4. Remove bolt holding the ABS wire and brake hose to the top of the upper control arm.
5. Loosen the locknut from ball joint stud do not fully remove yet.
6. Separate the ball joint from steering knuckle by tapping on the side of the knuckle then remove the nut.
7. Used jack stands to support the loose spindle by the bottom of the brake caliper. Make sure the brake lines don’t stretch to far.
8. Remove the factory bolts and eccentric washers that connect the arms to the frame. You may need to move the arm to the rear of the pocket to get the bolts past the coil springs.
9. Place them in the order they came off for correct reassembly. (The plastic inserts can be removed)
