If you choose to create a custom template, you use the Quota Properties dialog box, as shown in Figure 2-16. You can specify the following: ■■

Copy Properties From Quota Template Optionally choose from an existing template as the starting point to define the quotas for this path. Quota Path Specifies the root of the quota path. It is unavailable when already specified in the Create Quota dialog box. Description An optional description for the custom quota. Limit The space limit for the custom quota. If you used a template as the starting point, this box is filled in based on that template (but you can change the limit). Hard Quota If specified, enforces the limit on all nonadministrative users. Soft Quota If specified, the limit is used for monitoring and reporting only, but users can continue to add files to the path even when they have exceeded the limit. Notification Thresholds You can specify the percentage of the limit that will trigger a notification and also what kind of notification. You can also specify a command to run or reports to generate when the threshold is reached.
