GENUINELY BUSY is a really well-muscled, good looking son of TUF N BUSY. He is that pretty golden buckskin color. We purchased GENUINELY BUSY from Terri White and she was also the owner of TUF N BUSY. This was the colt she kept to replace TUF N BUSY, and we feel very fortunate to be able to own a horse of this caliber. It just doesn’t get any better - not only does he have a great cow horse pedigree, he also has the color, looks and ability to back it up. GENUINELY BUSY has a great cow horse pedigree. An own son of TUF N BUSY and TUF N BUSY’S offspring have won over 3,740 AQHA points, 27 ROM winners, mostly in roping events; and he has sired 46 point earners out of 236 foals sired. Plus, they have won at all levels of roping from Amateur to PRCA with earnings in NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. GENUINE LEIGH WRIGHT is an outstanding calf roping horse and is currently being hauled in the PRCA. She is an own daughter of LENA’S WRIGHT ON. He has a LTE of $109,995 and won the NRHA futurity as a three-year-old and was an AQHA World Champion Working Cow Horse as a five-year-old. He is the sire of NRHA and NRCHA money earners as well as an AQHA Champion. This is our fifth crop by GENUINELY BUSY. We are extremely proud of how his colts are breaking out and riding. I am riding a four-yearold that is a near perfect ranch horse - cowy, good-minded and wants to please. I couldn’t be happier with “Ricky.” His colts are just starting to hit the roping pen, and that is where they are going to shine. He sires colts that have a lot of cow.

Ima Tuf Lena IMA TUF LENA is a buckskin stallion who has really proven himself as a sire for us. He is well built, stands 14.3 hands and weighs 1000 pounds. “Tuf ” has an exceptional hip and a kind, gentle disposition. He possesses great bone and has strong dark feet. TUF N BUSY, an own son of BUENO CHEX, has been to the World Show several times. He was fourth in Senior Heeling. He has his Superior in reining, heading and heeling. TUF N BUSY has sired five world champions. Four in the youth division - two in heading and two in heeling. In 2001, he sired the World Champion Junior Heeling Horse at the AQHA World Show. Tuf was not shown due to an injury, but when he was ridden and in training he showed great promises. He is extremely athletic, quick to learn and these are traits he has passed on to his offspring. April 3, 1999 Tuf was in training with JD Yates of Pueblo, CO. His father, Dick Yates, was quoted as saying, “We Tuf N Busy were sorry to lose that colt as a prospect, he had a lot of talent” - a strong statement for as many good X A horses as these guys have been around.

JD Yates showed a daughter of Tuf in 2009, IMA TUF MISSY. IMA TUF MISSY was the AQHA High Point Junior Horse with 388 points in seven events. She qualified for the World Show in five events, and won Reserve World Champion Head Horse. In 2010 she received her ROM in Performance Halter. In 2011 she won the Congress in Ohio, and at the 2012 Sun Circuit in Arizona she was the high point all around horse and won over 80 points and a saddle. She has over 580 total AQHA points. She was the 2012 Reserve World Champion Head Horse. She also became an AQHA Champion in 2015. We have three full sisters coming up for the broodmare band. The Tuf colts make great-minded ride horses with a lot of athleticism and cow. Tufs daughters are in production and are proving themselves to be exceptional mothers. Tuf has a lot of offspring in the roping arena. They are making great rope horses and have all of the ingredients to compete at a very high level. Tuf has become a popular sire for us as we have as many repeat buyers for his colts as any stallion we own. Four times his weanlings have topped the sale. We are glad people are enjoying his offspring.

PERKSTER is an extremely well built and heavyboned palomino stallion that I am really high on. We think you will like his this set of colts, they have the size, bone and thickness to become very popular with those of you that like good using horses. They are “drop-the-mic” awesome. PERKSTER has proven genetics. He is an own son of DASH FOR PERKS, a leading barrel horse and arena sire with winnings in excess of $4,000,000. DASH FOR PERKS has sired several top barrel horses including LADY PERKS with winnings of $217,000; and CASH FOR PERKS with winnings in excess of $100,000. His dam represents some of the best of the Cowan Ranch. She is a full sister to PC BOSTON BOB, a proven arena sire. BOSTON BOB was the sire to several Badland Circuit Horses of the Year. The BOON DOX JOHNS are proven rodeo horses and are known for their good minds. STELLA FROST may have been DOC’S JACK FROST greatest broodmare daughter. PERKSTER is a proven sire of rodeo and ranch horses and we have shipped his semen all over the world. PERKSTER has so much style and confirmation, and we are so happy with how his colts have been growing out. With his pedigree, ability to breed color and his calm, easy-going manner, PERKSTER has been an amazing addition to our program. PERKSTER’S colts are eligible for the BBI, 5-State Breeders Futurity, and Future Fortunes. Dash For Perks

“Cowboy” is a really pretty, palomino stud with that SUNFROST look. “Cowboy” is extremely easy to get a long with and is well broke. His colts are nice to halter break with that trainable mind. His oldest colts for us are three-year-olds and are extremely nice to be around and ride. This horse brings a very unique pedigree with him. He is an own son of FRENCHMAN’S GUY, a leading barrel horse sire in the nation, with winnings over $10,000,000. FRENCHMAN’S GUY’s offspring are being ridden at all levels from High School Rodeo to the National Finals Rodeo. FRENCHMAN’S GUY’S colts are proven winners. But it is this stallion’s mother that brings the uniqueness to this pedigree. She is a double bred ORPHAN DRIFT mare through probably his greatest daughter, COW LADY DRIFT. COW LADY DRIFT was the earner of 44 AQHA points, and was 6th at the World Show in Senior Reining and 5th at the AQHA World Show in Senior Working Cow Horse. However, her production as a broodmare was the most impressive. COW LADY DRIFT produced fourteen foals. Nine of them were AQHA point earners, and four were AQHA Open Champions. Her offspring had a total of 533.5 AQHA points, and that is a notable record. “Cowboy’s” colts are exceedingly well-minded and trainable, those who are riding his colts are all very pleased with them. These Cowboy colts will have the mind and performance to take you to any level you want to go. I have several threeyear-old fillies that I bred this year. Cowboy’s colts are doing everything from Mounted Shooting to roping, to barrels. We had the misfortune of losing Cowboy halfway through the breeding season this year. We will have colts out of him next year, but the number will be limited.

An extremely well bred horse. DOC N MISSY, who won the NRCHA Futurity at Reno, and TENINO FAIR, who won the NCHA Futurity, are two of DOC BAR’S greatest daughters. FAIRWAY GAL and FIND A BUYER were two of the King Ranch’s most famous thoroughbred mares. There are a lot of horses in the American Quarter Horse registry that trace to these two mares. Add DASH FOR CASH and PEPPY SAN BADGER - both inductees into the AQHA Hall of Fame - and you have a tremendous pedigree. We have a nice set of colts by CASH IMA SAN this year, they are thick and well-made. I know you will like them, they are the using kind. She has two colts that are big time rope horses. I have two daughters of A Smokin Dual’s in the broodmare band. This is a proven mare that is still young enough to produce many more colts for you. She lost her colt this spring in a snowstorm through no fault of her own. She sells pasture exposed to Genuinely Busy.

Treasure State Quarter Horses

Our ranch, 30 miles south of Chinook, Montana in the rugged Bear Paw Mountains, was established over one hundred years ago. At Treasure State Quarter Horses our goal is to provide performance bred prospects that are born and raised in big country. Our mares foal out in the hills and the colts learn to follow their mothers just as soon as they can stand. Our stallions have exceptional pedigrees and our broodmare band consists of proven performance bloodlines top and bottom with an emphasis on great speed and cow horse pedigrees. This is our 22nd sale and our breeding program is proven and tested over time allowing us to cultivate a band of broodmares that produce only the best quality, conformation, trainability, and performance. A high percentage of our mares have performance records, are proven producers, or have mothers or full siblings that were performers or producers as well. We start all of our own colts, ride all of our own bloodlines, and put a good foundation on our young horses. We work our colts in the arena and ride them on the ranch so that we can offer prospects that use their mind, feet and legs in different situations other than just the dirt of the arena. Prospects that we have raised are doing very well in a number of different events. Barrels, roping, cow horse, versatility ranch horse, mounted shooters, bull dogging, and ranching are just some areas that our horses continue to excel. We invite you to come to the ranch and view the horses and visit us anytime.

FIRST DOWN FRENCHMAN is a gorgeous 15 hands buckskin son of the legendary barrel horse sire FRENCHMANS GUY and out of the great mare EVENING TRAFFIC. When given the opportunity to own this horse we definitely were excited about the prospect of having a son out of both of these exceptional producers. FRENCHMANS GUY is an all-time leading sire in the barrels and Evening Traffic has produced 7 barrel money earners and 2 money earners on the track. Her progeny has amassed earnings nearing $300,000 + including the mare Morning Traffic who has won nearly $100K and ran at the NFR with STEVIE HILLMAN. We look forward to First Down Frenchmans’ future in our program and we bred some great mares to him for 2018. 25

TRES MY FAME is a 15.1 2012 bay son by leading race and barrel sire TRES SEIS (SI 97 $856,900 + Earnings) with offspring earnings over 21 million. TRES SEIS has undoubtedly taken the barrel horse world by storm as his get have really started to dominate at most major barrel events. Trey’s maternal line is exceptional as well, his dam FAMOUS BLUE EYES is a direct daughter of the great DASH TA FAME and is a 3X’s futurity winner with total earnings over $50,000. Her full brother Bobbie Gene has won over $100,000 in barrel futurities and rodeos alone. Both are out of FLICK CAN DISCO who has four money earning offspring that have won over $200,000 respectively. Trey really has a laid-back attitude, he is very trainable, and he just moves about in an effortless kind of way. He is a good stopping colt and he is one of those horses that gets up under himself and works off of his hind end. Trey was on track to do well in the 2017 Futurities but unfortunately needed to have colic surgery. He is doing well and we hope to have him back in the arena soon and are excited to see what his future holds. TRES MY FAMES’ first foal crop has exceeded our expectations. They are extremely laid back, are straight, big hipped, eye appealing colts and again, seem to just float around like their sire. We will be starting Treys’ first colts in the spring of 2018 and we are very excited. TRES MY FAME and his offspring are eligible for BBI, BNI, 5 State, Colorado Classic, Who’s Your Daddy, BBR, VGBRA, and Future Fortunes. FAMOUS BLUE EYES (right) Dam to TRES MY FAME with LTE $50,000+ and multiple Futurity winner.

FRENCHMANS SHAKE EM is 15.1 hands and is a powerful, palomino son of ROYAL SHAKE EM. “Shaker” has an exceptional pedigree and possesses the blood of some of the all-time great performance horses like STREAKIN SIX, FIRST DOWN DASH, FRENCHMANS GUY, and BOON Bar to name a few. ROYAL SHAKE EM has produced over $7 million in money earners in racing, barrels, and roping including the 2015 PRCA dogging horse of the year owned by Ty Erickson. Shaker’s dam FRENCHMANSFANCYFREE has Una and FRENCHMANS SHAKE EM “Shaker.” produced multiple money earners and and has a versatile pedigree. Shaker has great speed but possesses all of the good qualities of a cow horse. He is heavily muscled, has good bone, athletic ability, and when we ran him he could turn on a dime. Shaker was a solid 1D futurity horse in the barrels and went on to be competitive and a money earner in the open 1D format. Shaker has a kids’ horse disposition and his colts are riding the same. We have been overwhelmed with the positive feedback that we have been getting on Shaker’s colts. They are naturally collected in the way that they move around and they are so easy to train. There is a large number of Shaker colts that you will see at major futurities in 2018 in the barrels and a few are making great rope prospects as well. His oldest offspring are 4 year olds and his first to run is a money earner. Shaker babies are eligible for Future Fortunes, BBI, BNI, 5 State, Colorado Classic, Who’s Your Daddy, BBR and the VGBRA.

Weaver Quarter Horses - 1996 Sale Catalog This excerpt from our very first production sale catalog is about my dad Art Weaver’s first foundation mare. From the four daughters mentioned here, six times they produced the high selling weanling. Three times at the sale, two of those mares had our high-selling saddle horse. Three times her grandaughters have produced the high selling weanling. Twenty-one of the colts in this year’s sale trace to Pretty Miss Denver through the mare side - 1/3 of our remuda. I have 31 descendants of hers, whether in the broodmare band or in young fillies I’m keeping for broodmares. As I stated in our first catalog, she has had such a big influence on our program and I felt she needed some more recognition.

Executive Committee Though AQHA operates primarily upon the decisions of its members through the board of directors, the five-person executive committee is responsible for implementing these important decisions and governing AQHA between the annual meetings of the membership and the board. The AQHA Executive Committee - consisting of a president, first vice president, second vice president and two additional members - is elected each year by the board at the AQHA Convention. Each member serves a term of one year until the selection of his/ her successor. The executive committee convenes bimonthly at AQHA International Headquarters in Amarillo to conduct business and consider all disciplinary matters.

Weaver Quarter Horses

DEAR FRIENDS: We would all like to welcome you to our 22nd Annual Production Sale. We are so glad you are here and really appreciate your interest in our horses, as well as your continued patronage over the years. 2017 marks the 129th year the Weaver family has been raising horses in Montana. KellyAnne and Casey still live in Lewistown. KellyAnne is in her eighth year as director of the library and Casey continues to manage a ranch in the Snowy Mountains. Wyatt (14) worked for us this summer and was a huge help on the haying crew and general ranch work. Wyatt will do anything where he is outside and he is looking forward to the hunting season with his dad. He is in wrestling during school, and will be a freshman this year. Avery (12) continues to be the social butterfly of the family and will be in 7th grade. She helps her mom around the house and has been Nancy’s sidekick this summer. David and Stacie were married last year and live and work in Bozeman, MT. In November, they added an addition to the family, Wesley Colt Weaver. Wesley is a happy little boy who sure loves his family. Hailey (13) spent the summer with David and they had a great time that ended way too soon. David comes back to the ranch to help out and to halter break the colts. Daniel leases a hay place in Denton, MT and works at the ranch running cattle, farming, and helping out with the horses. Daniel and Danielle live in Big Sandy, where Danielle is the pharmacist. Both are great supporters of agriculture with Daniel serving on several ag related boards. They split their time between town and the ranch. This is my third year on the AQHA Executive Committee. I am glad to have a supportive family that gives their time to allow me to fulfill my AQHA commitments. Lucky for me, Nancy travels most of the time with me and our family arrange their schedules to help Daniel out when needed. Nancy maintains her role of being active in the community and continues to serve on the Central Montana Medical Center Advisory Board and is chairperson of the Montana Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Western Music Rendezvous. Nancy takes all the pictures of the sale horses for the catalog and this year she had great help from Avery and Wyatt. I really enjoy my time with the mares and all aspects of our breeding operation. The spring is especially gratifying to see the next generation of Weaver Quarter Horses born on the ranch. I look forward to visiting with old friends and new at this year’s sale. Hearing from our customers each year is my favorite part of this whole business. May God bless each and every one of you! See you soon! STAN WEAVER 37
