We dedicate ourselves to THE ULTIMATE SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE: lots of learning, providing great traditional summer camp fun and ensuring that every camper has an unforgettable experience. Western Cabins

WESTERN CABINS You’ll live in clean, air-conditioned cabins themed after the Old West. There are bathrooms and showers in or adjacent to each cabin. Every cabin has a counselor in it, along with up to 14 of your new or old friends. For campers age 9 and under, see our “Youth Camp” section.

BELLY UP AT THE BELLY UNION There’s plenty of food to choose from at Woodward West. The Belly Union Cafeteria serves three hot meals per day with lots of options to please everyone. The Burger Grill offers a daily selection of grilled foods for lunch and dinner. Every meal offers a combination of healthy selections and kid-friendly items.

CAMP STORE & CANTEEN The camp store offers Woodward West apparel, memorabilia, and incidentals like toothpaste and shampoo. The canteen offers a variety of snack food for purchase. Campers place spending money in their camp “bank account” and draw against it for 2 their purchases so they never have to carry cash.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS Woodward West has a training room adjacent to our gym and a live-in trainer is on duty during every workout. A resident nurse lives in our well-equipped infirmary. CAMPERS MUST BE COVERED BY THEIR OWN MEDICAL INSURANCE.

Woodward West’s Youth Camp was created to assist our youngest campers adjust to camp life. Campers ages 7 to 9 (and often older) live with a “mini mom” (girls) or a “mini dad” (boys) and have an earlier bedtime (9:30 P.M.) so they get plenty of rest. WE ARE PROUD TO MAINTAIN A LOW TEACHER-TO-STUDENT RATIO OF NO MORE THAN 1:8 AT WOODWARD WEST, campers improve their basic skills and pursue new goals, all while having a great time. Our exceptional staff, New-Skill Bell, and inspiration from Olympians, fill Woodward West with unrivaled positive energy that helps campers reach new levels. Woodward West is home to gymnasts of all levels: beginners, high school gymnasts, and competitive athletes. Through the use of progressions, spotting, foam pits, and Resi-pits™ coaches emphasize the improvement of basics and existing skills and the development of new skills and campers’ goals. Campers’ skills are evaluated upon arrival at Woodward West so each gymnast can be placed in a class according to his or her gymnastics ability. TAP PROGRAM This past summer we selected the most improved, positive, and enthusiastic campers from all of our groups and invited them to return at a special rate during TAP week. Campers were selected from the Gymnastics, Cheer, Power Tumbling, and Parkour. Over 75 campers and staff took us up on the offer and came back for an awesome all-star week of camp! Look for us to continue the TAP program for many years to come. Maybe this will be your year!

CAMP AWARDS Woodward West coaches and staff award campers with daily awards based on goals, new skills, and positive attitudes and encouragement. WE SUGGEST A TWO-WEEK STAY. Note:All sessions begin Sunday at 4:00P.M. and end 9:00A.M. Saturday. Special activities are schedule for stay-over campers. Sunday Check-in: 2:00–4:00 P.M. * Deduct $50 for each additional week enrolled * Deduct $50 for each additional sibling enrolled Session Fee minus Registration Fee = Balance due. PAYMENT POLICY A registration deposit of $300 per session is due upon enrolling. You may then pay in full or take advantage of our NEW flex pay option plan (See Below). All balances MUST be paid by April 1, 2014.

Anytime before April 1, 2014, upon written notice of cancellation, registration fees less $100 processing charge per session enrolled are refund2 2 able. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will not receive a refund. 1

GYM CREW For athletes between the ages of 16 & 17 years old, Gym Crew Junior Staff are responsible for cleanliness of the gym throughout the week under the supervision of the gym and cheer directors.

CABIN COUNSELOR WORK EXCHANGE For athletes who are over 18 years old and are interested in training during their week of camp, the Cabin Counselor Work Exchange staff is responsible for up to 14 athletes in their cabin. During the day, they are encouraged to join an instruction group and train throughout their week under the supervision of the gym and cheer directors.

CABIN COUNSELOR & COACH For athletes and coaches who are over 18 years old, who have coaching experience (all levels welcomed), the Woodward West coaching staff is responsible for coaching up to 7 hours each day, leading clinics, and coaching during open gym hours. p g. 3 3 W W W.WO O DWA R DW EST.COM

CAMP PARENTS Every summer many parents help out at Woodward West as nurses, drivers, and Youth Camp counselors. A parent’s motivation for coming to camp may vary: some are looking for a way to subsidize their child’s tuition; others may want to be close to a young child who may be leery about his or her first full week away from home. SCHOLARSHIPS

The Woodward Camp Foundation was established to provide deserving children the 3 3 summer sports camps with the assistance opportunity to attend one of Woodward’s of scholarship aid.
