֎ October is Dyslexia Awareness Month and we're celebrating by offering 10% off for new ֎ ֎
֎
families that are experiencing dyslexia or reading disorders. We are collecting clothes, blankets, shoes, books & other items for Armenta Angels throughout the month of October & the holidays for less fortunate families in our area. Bring donation items to Armenta Learning Academy. ALA will be attending the 30th Annual Walk Against Drugs and Community Fair on Saturday, October 20th from 8:00 am–12:00 pm. In unity, we promote healthy choices and drug-free lifestyles. Also look for the South County Disaster Preparedness Expo which will provide information to residents of all ages on various aspects of emergency preparedness. Pumpkin carving and decorating contest will be held this October. Submit your pumpkins Tuesday, October 23rd. Winners will receive a prize! End of the first quarter is Friday, October 26th.
֎ ֎ Join us for Hometown Halloween party on Saturday, October 27 from 4:00 pm—7:00 pm th
at the Norman P. Murray Community & Senior Center. Celebrate this fall holiday in glowing style with themed carnival games, crafts, music, and much more from 4:00 pm–6:00 pm. Then from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, it’s fun or fright as you travel through our glowing haunted maze. Admission is free for most attractions. ֎ Join Us at Armenta Learning Academy on Wednesday, October 31st, for dress up day costume contest and science experiment with gooey learning fun! Dress up and bring treats for the day. Winners of the costume contest will receive a prize! ֎ October Birthdays: Maria Dziuban & Hannah Armenta October 8th, Danielle Gioul October 26th. ֎ October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Computer Learning Month, International Drum Month, National Pizza Month, National Popcorn Popping Month, National Diabetes Month and National Vegetarian Month.
Armenta Pet Academy will be collec ng dog food, collars, leashes, beds, toys, blankets, and dona ons for Mu ly Crew, Inc., a wonderful rescue organiza on we support. Drop off dona ons to ALA during the month.
