Armenta Angels throughout the month of November & the holidays for less fortunate families in our area. Bring donation items to Armenta Learning Academy. Anyone who donates will receive 10% off one session! We have amazing Pragmatics and Executive Functioning Skills Classes. These classes help social skills, focus, planning, organization, cognitive flexibility, time control, language development, and executive functioning skills. Armenta also has several great classes available for your students! Autistic Reading Comprehension, Certified Play Attention, Lindamood-Bell, and Multi-sensory Handwriting are now available. We have cutting-edge technology and techniques to enrich, empower and educate your child. Family Astrology Night is Friday, November 2nd at the Oso Viejo Park - Village Green at 6:30pm. Veterans Day is Sunday, November 11th. No school Monday, November 12th. We will attend a Veterans Day Observance from 2-4pm at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. We will also be collecting donations for military boxes to send to our troops overseas. Eligible items: Beef/Turkey Jerky, Canned Soup & Pasta Meals, Chewing Gum & Candy, Coffee & Creamer, Hot Chocolate, Drink Mix (Crystal Light & Gatorade), Granola, Trail Mix, Nut, Chips, Pretzels, Microwave Meals, Protein Bars & Dried Fruit, Baby Wipes, Board Games (New), Disposable Razors, Eye Drops, Flypaper/Flytraps, Foot Powder, Hand & Foot Warmers, Shoe Deodorizers and Stick-on Room Deodorizers. Please do not include hotel samples, disposable cameras, used household items, clothes, or ready-to-eat microwavable meals. Please bring items to ALA during the month. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 14th. Bring Thanksgiving goodies and give thanks for all we have. Also, students will have a chance to win a prize for the most creatively created turkey! Thanksgiving recess will be from Monday-Friday, November 21st23rd. Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 22nd. School will resume on Monday, November 26th.
