May 2019 Events at Armenta Learning Academy Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 is May Day celebrating Spring. We will be hosting a canvas painting event at ALA on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. Students will paint in the morning. Friends, family, and community members are welcome to join us for this fun painting event from 3-5pm.
A Mother’s Day celebration will be held Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at ALA. We will have activities and projects this day to honor our mothers.
We are having a Clay Creatures Contest during the month of May at ALA. Create your most imaginative, exotic creature for a prize!
Saturday, May 18th, 2019 is Armed Forces Day. During the month of May, ALA will be collecting letters written to the troops thanking them for their service to our country, supplies and non-perishable snacks for care packages to send.
Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th, 2019. This is a school holiday. There is no better way to celebrate Memorial Day with the family than with a morning run through the beautiful cities of Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods, and Laguna Niguel. The city of Laguna Hills is hosting the 14th Annual Laguna Hills Memorial Day Half Marathon honoring the United States Marine Corps Dark Horse Battalion. On Monday, May 28th, the Laguna Hills Half Marathon will begin at 7am at the Laguna Hills Community Center & Sports Complex. All ages are welcome to participate in the fun. Registration opens at 5:30am at the Laguna Hills Mall.
