Armenta Learning Academy June 2018 Events
Armenta Pet Academy will be collecting dog food, collars, leashes, beds, toys, blankets, and donations for Muttly Crew, Inc., a wonderful rescue organization we support. Drop off donations to ALA during the month of June. Starting Friday, June 1st, ALA will be collecting money or donations for the Marine Mammal Center throughout June. Any donations can be dropped off at ALA. Items such as paper towels, postage stamps, Dawn dish soap and blankets are all needed and appreciated! ALA Summer Programs run from June 1st to August 30th. The last Day of School for many is Thursday, June 14th, 2018. Summer School for those students begins Monday, June 18th, 2018. Refer a friend or write a Success Story for ALA and receive a free one hour tutoring session with Mrs. Armenta! Dana Point Family Movie Fridays will be held at Lantern Park every Friday in June! Wednesday, June 6th we will be hosting an Awards Ceremony honoring the Students of the School Year at Armenta Learning Academy. Thursday, June 14th is National Flag Day and our End of the Year Pizza Party. Bring goodies to share! ALA will be making flags to celebrate and have a bubble gum blowing contest for fun! Most creative and amazing American Flag wins a prize! Father’s Day is Sunday, June 17th, 2018. On Wednesday, June 13th, ALA will host a Father’s Day celebration and activities. We are making Personalized mugs for Dad! Our annual Armenta Fishing Club fishing trip with Mr. Smith will be Friday, June 15th. Wednesday, June 20th, we will have a Surprise Science Project at ALA. ALA Birthdays: Ms. Dawn Hopkin June 13th and Kim Hwata June 27th In June, we celebrate Flag Day, Paul Bunyan Day, Aquarium Month, Dairy Month, National Adopt a Cat Month, National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables and Rose Month. Armenta Learning Academy Presents June 2018 Student of the Month Marissa Keene Marissa is our witty, creative, advanced 2nd grader at a 3rd grade level who loves writing, reading, and language arts. She is a fabulous student. Mrs. Armenta is so proud to be her teacher!
