In appreciation of our soldiers during this patriotic month, ALA will be collecting letters written to the troops thanking them for their service to our country. We will also be collecting supplies and non-perishable snacks for care packages to send. Independence Day is Monday, July 4th, 2016. We will host a guest speaker to talk about this special day in our nation’s history on Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 at ALA. We will be hosting a Skills for Success Workshop on Thursday, July 14th, 2016 at Armenta Learning Academy. During the month of July, we will be collecting used or new bathing suits for all ages boys and girls for low income families for Summer Swim Program at Armenta. ALA is having a bubblegum guessing contest! We have a jar of bubblegum balls at Armenta Learning Academy. The student who guesses the closest to the number in the jar will win a prize! On Tuesday, July 26th, 2016, Armenta Water Olympics will be hosted. Students will compete for medals! July Armenta Birthdays: Tanner Samuelian July 6th, Ethan Anapoell July 9th, Marina Wild July 24th, Grace Geoffreys July 28th. July is National Blueberry Month, National Anti-Boredom Month, National Cell Phone Courtesy Month, National Hot Dog Month and National Ice Cream Month. Mr. Smith Mr. Smith is a wonderful, hard-working and dedicated teacher. He works to connect with his students and he genuinely cares for each of them. He has been with ALA for almost 13 years.
