Rotomolding Process

Japi planters are made out of Polyresin by Rotational molding process in 8 different colors such as Coffee, Sandstone, Charcoal and Terracotta, with the possibility of white wash and patina finishes. Inspired by Italian terracotta planters and following the most recent tendencies of the international market, we perfectly reproduce the color texture and appearance of the traditional Garden Clay Planters. Our raw material is non-toxic, UV protected and 100% recyclable. The Planters do not chip or crack when exposed to the most diverse weather conditions. We are proud to make a lightweight, all-weather, and unbreakable product.

Rotational Molding Process

The rotational molding process is a high-temperature, low-pressure plastic-forming process that uses heat and biaxial rotation (angular rotation on two axes) to produce hollow one-piece parts. A feature of the process is its long cycle times - only one or two cycles per hour can typically occur, as opposed to other processes such as injection molding, where parts can be made in a few seconds. The main advantages of this process are its capacity to manufacturing resistant, lightweight and large pieces, like planters and water tanks. Little quantity of material is wasted, making it a environmentally viable manufacturing process. 49
