Description This course is 100% online. The objective of the course is to orient you with the recommended processes for building RtI structures at the secondary level. Participation preferences will be those to those who have successfully completed the RtI 101 (McCook book). A SIGNED syllabus/commitment form is required for this class. The book is provided free of charge pending participation requirements. Participants will have access to course administrator via telephone – evenings, weekends, holidays. Call for additional details. This course is 100% online. You will take a journey through a fictitious school district that is struggling with issues of understanding diversity and how to close the academic achievement gap for student sup groups that are not achieving to their highest potential. This course is a MUST for any campus or district that is implementing Response to Intervention. You will learn about how a pervasive philosophy of "high expectations for ALL" can support school improvement efforts. This ONLINE course requires a signed syllabus/commitment form from each participant. The book for the course is provided and is yours to keep with successful completion of the course. In RtI there can be an enormous amount of data gathered and presented in the form of a chart or graph. Have you ever wondered what all those lines and dots mean? Come find out about box and whiskers charts, what all those colorful lines and dotted lines mean (vertical and horizontal) and other aspects of RtI graphs.
Do you know what TEMI is? Do you know how to get it for FREE? TEMI is the Texas Early Mathematics Inventory and it is FREE to all Texas schools. This inventory is the equivalent of the TPRI but it offers resources for math for grades K-2. Come find out how to obtain the free online materials and also get an overview of each component of the TEMI.
